If the Dems win big in 06, "They" will let us be hit again so they can |
|
say see we can protect you. You know they ignored all the warnings on purpose so they could have a military operation. That is what they wanted and knew how to get it.

1. Scary but possible. There have been a lot of placement of |
|
Busch devotees throughout all the agencies. It would take some time to purge those loyalists

2. devotees from bush 1, reagan, and now the chimpster. |
|
there would have to be a serious purge in dc to insure the repukes couldn't pull the ''catastrophe'' card out of their tapeworm asses.

3. They let us be hit in 2001, so it wouldn't be the first time. |

4. I'm fully expecting it. |

It is their #1 play, you can count on it. If the dems somehow manage to slip out from under the Diebold thumb, Cheney's boys have the next terra attack all ready to go, just to prove that the dems can't protect us. If Dems with both houses of Congress, expect closer to the 2008 election, though. Cheney's goon squad will just do lots of litte terras before that for the purpose of driving home the "Dems will get us all killed" meme in the run-up to the next GOP coronation in 2008.

5. so what, then we have America coming together to help & heal |
|
then we deal with it, in a fair way, with teamwork the way people wanted to do before the FEMA fanatics took over with their clipboards and their training and their background checks.

6. I have been thinking of this |
|
scenerio for some time now. We are actually in a poor position as progressives. We know we must win the elections, but once won, have to prove our worth by a ratio of 1000:1 over repugs.

7. this scenario stretched further |
|
Simply ignore all threats to "progressive" bastions like SF bay area/Berkeley or Cambridge/Boston.
And let something happen there.

8. Disagree. Congressional investigations could uncover it all. More risk |
|
if the GOP keeps control, because then "they" can orchestrate terra safe in the knowledge that no one will investigate.

9. But if the Dems win big, THEY won't be in charge or in a position to |
|
ignore warnings, make decisions and leave us vulnerable.

10. Do you think civil servants in the CIA, FBI care that little.... |
|
about citizens? I suppose you also believe that the new terrorist threat was uncovered just so that the good news of one primary race in CT would be overlooked.

11. I'm sorry but I disagree |
|
It might be unpopular, but I've never believed in the LIHOP or MIHOP conspiracy theories.
I think to say that if we win in 2006 that "they will let us be hit again" just really doesn't help our party....remember that Cynthia McKinney lost her primary race by stating similar things....and thank goodness Cynthia McKinney did lose, the woman was a total embarrassment to my party.

12. He's got a good point |

Our enemies won't hesitate for a moment to nuke one of own cities. I feared it in 2004. It's raising my blood pressure this summer. The only thing going for us the the way they take care of their own. If someone notices the wealthy neighborhoods emptying without apparent cause - start yelling. If major GOPS stop flying or start avoiding places they shouldn't (I'm looking at you, Ashcroft), tell everyone. Vigilance will lead to Victory.

Seriously, people need to take the tin foil hat off and calm down.
