1. It's bullcrap

So their plan is "win by adapting", but John Murtha's plan to put our
troops at the periphery of the country, in safer areas to avoid the
crossfire of a civil war, is cutting and running?

I wish Ken Mehlman would just call adding more troops what it really is:
a recognition that Rumsfeld was stupid to think we could win this war
on the cheap and a failure of the Bush administration to plan
properly. "Adapting to win" is essentially "covering our asses." If I
could crunch that down into a three word soundbite, then I'm sure he
could.
