Republican Party: Not playing by the rules. Lieberman was vying to be the Democratic Party's candidate. He lost and decided to ignore the rules of fair play and team spirit. He basically issued a signing statement to the election results.

Lamont won he race, Lieberman should have exited with grace. This is Lamont's victory lap, but Lieberman decided to run it too, an exercise in self-aggrandizement.

The Democratic Party needed to pick up six seats. Now as a result of Lieberman's actions a seventh seat is up for grabs. Those who say this race is just like the others miss the point: Lieberman should be kept in focus like any other Democratic opponent, but moreso because of the uniqueness of his challenge. The objective is to support Lamont all the way to the Senate.

1. No real Democrats will vote for LIEberman. The seat is not in jeopardy.
Only RW point talkers are spouting that BS.

3. Well considering the fact that
Republicans and Is outnumber Democrats in CT, every Democrat could vote for Lamont and he could still lose. Right now Lieberman is leading the polls. It's not a RW talking point to say the seat is in jeopardy. Sadly, it's facing the awful truth.

7. Right and that would explain how a DEmocrat was elected there for the
last 18 years. Do not forget that educated people vote Democratic. If you do not believe check back in November.

2. Lieberman is playing by the rules
His rules certainly aren't those of the Democratic Party and I think he should be kicked out. However, CT state law allows someone to enter a race if they have the correct number of signatures in a petition.

If Lieberman wins that isn't that what the people of the state want? I know it's frustrating, but to suggest that Lieberman can't run is anti-Democracy. Lieberman is playing by the rules, just not ours and it sucks.

4. "His rules certainly aren't those of the Democratic Party"
They were until he lost! That is the point. It's not about being undemocratic. Sure anyone is allowed to run, but if his intention was to run as an independent he should not have run as a Democrat through the election.

I personally don't think Lieberman is going to win.

6. Good points
I don't think Lieberman will win in the end either. I think he might even end up dropping out, but it will be interesting to see.
