If Dean drops out before Kucinich, I will support Dennis. |
|
I know that it maybe a far fetched thought but if Dean does drop out and Kucinich stays in the race, I will throw my support to him. I think Dean supporters should come over to Kucinich if Howard calls it day. He will be the only anti-establishment candidate if Dean goes. As long as Dean stays on, I will stick with him.

4. Good! The DNC and DLC will never "get it" unless Dennis |
|
gets a lot more votes in the rest of the primaries.
If everybody whose candidate has dropped out (or is clearly unable to win) at the time of their primary would vote for Dennis it would make it clear to the DNC and DLC that there are a lot of Democrats who are ignored when the party tilts right.
It's an essential message to get across.

But Clark and Edwards and Kerry will snag a few too. But the Dortor is still in.

I will keep the door open to supporting Kucinich if Dean does drop out, but I am still holding on to being optimism that Dean will pull it off this Saturday.
fingers crossed and plenty of knocking on wood!

Don't tell anyone, but secretly there's a part of me that wants Dean to do well, too.:wow: Now that is a major shock coming from me! I just keep thinking how I'd feel if Dennis sent a message like that, and I hate the thought of anyone being that disappointed after working so hard.
So Good Luck Governor and Dean supporters!

Seems funny to say since I have not liked Gov. Dean for quite a while but we need every one of the guys to keep up the pressure. Good luck Dean folks. If you want to come to DK if he does indeed drop out we will welcome you but I will be very sorry if that happens. Cascadian, thanks.

As much as I detest Dean the candidate, I can certainly feel for his supporters-- many of whom share the same beliefs/values that DK's supporters keep. I'd really hate to see them get alienated from the process, or support a candidate who doesn't share many of the same positions.

Kucinich asked his supporters to support Edwards in caucus? May be another deal in the offing in WA. I don't see your reasoning?

I honestly hope Dean will score this Saturday and all the way to Wisconsin. Dean will get some states between now and Super Tuesday. I know Washington should help Dean out.

If Dean were to honor his ploy of ending his campaign upon loosing Wisconsin, then a likely reality. I have long said that Kucinich would be in the race longer than Dean. Last fall people though I was crazy. Now they still think it unlikely but acknowledge the possibility. It would be of great benefit for DK if Dean was not in race on super tuesday.

Who would have thought it would be remotely possible that Dean would drop out before Dennis?
Just shows how quickly the political sands shift. And, who knows where we'll be in another two weeks. Everything could be topsy turvy.

in the race because he isnt affraid of being impolite and has called clark lieberman and kerry out right republicans (even though i personally think dean would have to be a bit more liberal before i could vote for him) I love it when he told wolfie to his face that the news was only to entertain !!!!!

16. Dean is a treasure. Like in a comic strip... |
|
You know how they all have bubbles over their head to show what they're thinking when they won't say it?
Well, Dean is the guy with no bubble. You gotta love that about him. I hate some of his positions but I have respect for that quality and a real respect for the movement behind him.
Yes Dean, you grow on some of us for that.

I don't think Dean and Kucinich are that close as candidates but, for the most part, the supporters are very similar.
If the time comes, don't even bother knocking. You just come right on in and make yourself at home. Your place is reserved ;)

are closest to each other....I think that if one or the other drops out, most of each other's supporters will go to one or the others' campaign.

would dean, clark, edwards, kucinich, and sharpton supporters, for the most part, back one of these five instead of kerry?

I believe that's a reasonable scenario. Dennis is in it for the long run. Nomination or no, he's bringing the issues to the caucus. That's an invaluable service, IMO, and it's why I'm with him all the way.
When it comes to predicting winners, I don't swing with the pendulum; I'll wait and see what happens when each state votes. I don't believe it is appropriate to call winners before all the votes are in and counted. And hyping up the first few states can negatively affect the outcome of the rest of the races. I hear Dean is going to use Wisconsin results to decide whether or not to stay in; if he's not in, you'll be welcome to join us. Whether we win the nomination or not, we win in the long run if we shift the party's current direction, IMO.

My chance to vote has come and gone, but I would support DK next.
My wife almost voted for him, and she used to work for Ted Kennedy (and flirts with Edwards, more literally than figuratively).
I think we need to keep alive a candidate of real reform in this race.

You're very welcome in the Kucinich camp, though.
I originally supported Dean so I respect what he says. No matter how much I don't like the way he governed in VT, I still find myself liking him more than the other candidates (except the Kooch, obviously).
But I really hope he stays in, if for no other reason than to give the yakking media whores more to bitch and whine about. How I love that we're not following their agenda.
Go Dean!
