I'm proud! Pot made the ballot!
email.....

quote.......
Dear Friend --

The Colorado Secretary of State announced yesterday that SAFER's statewide marijuana legalization initiative has qualified for the ballot! The measure, which would eliminate all penalties for possession of up to one ounce of marijuana by adults 21 and older, will appear as Amendment 44 on the November ballot and will be decided by Colorado voters in the November 7th election.

The official count found us to have submitted 130,815 total signatures, which is nearly twice the approximately 68,000 needed -- this is a feat in and of itself! We again thank all the individuals who put their time and hard work into this incredible effort. We hope this payoff will motivate everyone to stay involved and lend a hand in any way they can to make the upcoming campaign a success..............

15. So, you can't be arrested in Denver for possession of less than
one ounce of pot?

2. amazing congrats :)
I use to be anti pot and then i used it and all is well :) hehe. People need to get over it and attack cigarettes and maybe alcohol though alcohol does help during these days i will tell ya. Good luck and i will tell my grandfather to vote for it since he is the only one that lives there.

6. I have not smoked in 30 years
but the $100 fine is a waste of tax payer money and want the seniors to have it if they want it.

11. Funny.....more
seniors signed the petition than baby boomers. They all know someone that has cancer,MS or glaucoma. At 75 they would prefer the Feds not kick down their door.

3. Don't you think that if it succeeds in November, BushCo will
just tell the federal judges to make it a crime, like they did medical marijuana in California?

12. It's already a moot point...
the SCOTUS has already ruled that state drug laws cannot trump federal ones in the CA matter. The same ruling will likely apply here. Still, if the federal law is ever repealed (HAHAHAHAHA), then Colorado will have decriminalized weed overnight.

I'm voting HELL yes on this one.

My aunt, God rest her soul, could have used it to alleviate her pain while undergoing chemo for ovarian cancer.

16. Congratulations!!
I know you worked very hard on this, good for you and hope you're the next state to end this ridiculous criminalization of pot smokers. Such a waste of money and agony for those caught in that legal trap.

17. Congratulations! As a CO native I'm glad that at least some sanity
is making itself felt there.

What is the campaign about? Just medical use or does it include recreational?
