Condi: Critics of U.S. military force against Iran are "short sighted"

A group of former diplomats and retired generals called on President George W. Bush to open negotiations with Iran , warning that the use of military force would have catastrophic consequences for the region. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice , seen here on 11 August 2006, earlier this month brushed off critics of the administration policies as short-sighted.(AFP/File/Stan Honda)

1. Why not start a third war, since we lost Iraq & are losing Afghanistan?
Bush has failed at everything he has tried to do, so why don't we let this moron fail once again on another misguided military adventure. Way to support the troops, Georgie boy!

...can we? Or 6? What about North Korea...oh, that's right: they have functioning nukes with real warheads, don't have any oil, and aren't Izlamizoids...

21. War #7: the invasion of Venezuela
War #8: the liberation of Cuba.

As long as they keep the troops from returning home, the will have plenty of canon fodder available.

12. If these people had to actually put their asses on the line...
I can't help but think that these people would have a different appreciation of the application of military force if they had ever participated in the direct use thereof. From their perspective it is a neat, clean exercise. They need to have a better appreciation of the pain, grief and suffering which accompanies their casual remarks.

use tactical nuclear weapons, somewhere, anywhere, to put an end to the prohibition against them. Afterall, they're only the "little" nukes, not the big "stragetic" ones we never could use against the USSR.

8. It's not short-sighted to be against the use of any nuclear weapons.
Certain Republicans want you to think that it is.

Uh... YEAH. Like it's been SO spot-on and SO valuable and SO shrewd and far-sighted up til now. What a track record you've built for yourself, girlfriend. From your "we've GOT TO have a WAR!" during the run-up - clear through to your beating out rummy for the job of "coordinator of post-war Iraq" and beyond. Yep, you're the smart one alright, contradicta. I'm REALLY gonna pay attention to what YOU say.

I wouldn't believe what came out of this woman's mouth if she told me I was a liberal Democrat.
