Why is DU running ads for John McCain?

DU doesn't pick them. Google does. DU does have the right to block certain ads, but considering it's like playing an endless game of "whack a mole", you probably have to give Skinner and Elad a little leeway here.

who donate to our site not to see those google ads and I decided to take up the offer. :)

DU gets ad money from google, which displays ads based on text info.

Hence, if there's a story about McCain, a McCain ad might pop up.

Similarly, if there's a post about a Montego Monte Claire, there might be an ad for that too
