"Party of One" my Flash attack on LIEberman,w/ "Masters of War" by Dylan

Here's my latest work all about Joe LIEberman's ridiculous run as a "Party of One", which reminds me of "Army of One" (which gives ME a mental image of a guy stuck under fire in a foxhole, looking around and saying, "WHERE the hell IS EVERYBODY!!") :) -- Makes about as much sense in a marketing vein. Party of One, Translates into "Party of NONE" when it involved LIEberman, might as well be saying, "Party of ME", eh?

This flash also incorporates the fact that the Terror Lockdown on Liquids, etc came so close on the heels of Joe's Smackdown by Lamont as to not be considered credible - even today they are confirming that people will walk FREE because they don't have the evidence to hold them, let alone that there were NO Explosives in their possession, they hadn't even made reservations, etc, etc..

Meanwhile they talk about charging a PREGNANT woman for having some water, and a face wipe - this flash addresses those concerns as well, the fact that WE are being used as PUPPETS in a The Politics of Terror.

Remember, a republican said they'd ride this last nonThreat all the way into November. Let's prove them wrong.. Let's VOTE for Lamont, as we all know this last Primary was a referendum on Bush and his faked "war". The Nerve of LIEberman to shit all over the Democrats. It's like using a girlfriend to get you through medical school and then snatching up the Trophy Wife once you've graduated. How can we ever trust this Puppet again?

One of my best Flash works ever, and to the Tune of "Masters of War" by Mr Bob Dylan, and no truer words were spoken in our time.

I especially liked the shots of Ned Lamont at the end. As framed in the video, he invokes the Norman Rockwell New England town meeting portrait.

4. Yeah it's sad isn't it

the way that LIEberman is "eating his own" with his co-opting everything the RIGHT stands for and calling himself a DEMOCRAT while doing it.

People are not Blind to this, and that is why he will LOSE to Lamont.

Have you MET LIEberman? I have, I can prove it with footage. And I can tell you this, he's a smarmy little rat, and should NEVER have called himself a Democrat.

How anyone can stick up for him is beyond me.

Remember, he's now an "Independent" or didn't you hear?

I applaud your sentiment but we have to have SOME standards to be one of us besides just putting a 'D' after your name. Oh wait, Joe doesn't even carry the 'D' anymore. Just a 'J'.

7. OK, except for the hippie music

The 1960's are what gave the public such a bad image of Democrats. The last thing we need to do is remind them of that era.

There's modern music protesting Bu$hitler, that's far more edgy and pissed off than Dylan's nasal whine. And that's what Dems need to be today: pissed off, not whiny.

8. oh BULLSHIT. I'm so sick of "hippies" being blamed for the "bad image"

of Democrats. The People continually confronting the pigs in major demos in DC were decisive in finally ending the Vietnam War. Where is that spirit today? All I see among the young people now is apathy, ignorance, and self-indulgence. The 1960s ushered in the era of Civil Rights and a well-meaning "War on Poverty" as well as many progressive things like affirmative action, women's rights, and just greater tolerance/acceptance in general. Virtually everyone over about 50 has a nostalgic fond impression of the 60s.

Want to tell me why my 20 year old son listens to nothing but Led Zepplin and Jimi Hendrix, etc on top of a LOT of music these days that is emulating the 70's style..

Listen to the WORDS. Dylan was a master. Should we throw out Catcher in the Rye because it goes nowhere, Catch 22 because it makes FUN of war?

How old are you? Who uses the word HIPPIE anymore? I've only heard those on the right use that term.

Gee, maybe I should have put some rapping white guy who sounds like a skipping CD while he babbles in my face about how tough life is for someone that's 15 years old, the weight of the world on his shoulders, posturing little punks, now THAT is whining.. :)

10. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not just wasting my time

creating these flashes anymore. Used to be when I'd slave over one for a week and then launch it, I'd easily get a 100 replies, all outraged people glad that someone had put what they were feeling into one nice work, pics and sound and attitude they needed..

But anymore it seems like I do all the work, and I know it's not a bad work, for a solid week, then launch it and get 4 responses, good comments over all, but to do it all for only four responses is not worth spending all night up and suffering from exhaustion, for free I might add..

Maybe the web is glutted with this stuff now, when I was doing it we had practically invented it as s form of protest, now there's YouTube, Crooksanliars, etc - all the media is already created by the CORPORATE media, and easily saved and served.

The "little guys" trying to make a dif can't fight the FREE footage where people stick their foots in their mouths, and of course opinions are just that, free and flowing.

Be easier to write something GONZO, over the top, get everyone riled, etc.

Might be my flash work is now part of a dying breed.

One of the reasons I've been doing fewer and fewer of these, might be time to just quit doing it, guess I've had my shot when it was time, and now it's just not effective enough to even bother with.

This is not to insult those that enjoy my work and peculiar brand of view, to you I thank. Same thing is happening to other Flash sites, we're losing them. Like BushFlash.. sad to see him go down..

Shame. Might be time to move on.

Buzzflash is reporting a bug, where it says, "Lieberman CHANGED" and you see lightning around the capitol building, says the music keeps playing but te animation stops there. If you see this (maybe on a MAC) please let me know,

12. A kick for the MONDAY crowd

C'mon people, have a LOOK at this, slaved on it for over a week, sure I'm not a Corporate Media, but that's the POINT, support your own Media, MAKE IT, and pass it along, which I have done right here..

I'm proud of this work, at least support a fellow DU'r, I've been at this for years and I know exactly how to beat these guys - the one shot of LIEberman as a puppet with Cheney's hand up his ass is Golden, spread it around, make it STICK..

I did post on this thread a day or so ago, and while it wasn't to praise your work you should know that the only reason I even CLICKED on the thread was to see more of your work. I always do, whenever you put out a new one. Look man, your work is GREAT, and a lot of us really appreciate it. I'm just not the groupie type ya know? To be honest I assumed you were getting more than enough praise to make your head swell. Apparently you aren't even getting enough to make you think it's worth your time.

So here ya go. Please know that I ALWAYS watch your stuff, and read your posts as well. I remember well your entry in that MoveOn flash contest that got so much attention. I thought it EASILY should have won. Also I recall that weird confrontation you witnessed in front of the Crossfire studios between Bob Novak and another guy in the crowd, called him a "traitor" or something similar as I recall.

I forward your work along as well, though I think most of those people are similar to me, they appreciate it but do not usually offer much feedback.

The fault is mine. I know this kind of stuff is really a labor of love and is very hard work, but such is hard to continue when no one seems to notice. So, know that we do. We really do. I would understand it if you decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore but I really hope you don't. The battle isn't half over; we need you now more than ever.

threads drop so fast here anymore, so many people than used to be here - I'm not into the head swelling thing, I really do all this to help :) I spent a lot of time in Limos when I first started, a perfect chance to get yourself out of whack, start thinking you're important or something, and I always fought that, I'm one of the regular folks like everyone else fighting the fight, got sick of limos, don't even want to ride in them anymore, seemed like "selling out" to me - drove myself to a Lou Dobbs interview in LA to avoid that crap :)

It does get disheartening when you post and get few observations, but they are most important of all, I need to know if what I'm doing seems to be effective so I can fine tune work for later and have maximum impact..

Appreciate you're taking the time to let me know that what I'm doing is valuable, and am at the same time rethinking how Flash work is accepted at this time, now that everyone has DSL and can view video, Flash doesn't have the same impact - looking into YouTube and Huffington where people expect to see this and run there to watch this kind of work.

THe web is changing and I have to deal with that.

Thanks for kicking up my spirits, have had too many Progressive film and video/flash deals go sour in the past two years and was thinking of just quiting and writing instead, thought I'd jump back in and give it another shot, then got few responses so I guess I whined a bit and was going to crawl behind the furnace and lick my wounds.,,

But I CAN'T let these bastards WIN, I just can't.. If I have to figure out another way to get the work out there I will :)

Not giving up, that's for sure, maybe just need to recalibrate..

Folks like you keep me going, inspire me, we're all connected in ways we don't realize - like a band with no audience doesn't put their heart into it much,eh?
