The Nazis are coming....the Nazis are coming...

From the article:

The Dane County Farmer's Market will close two hours early Aug. 26 to allow Capitol Police enough time to prepare for a planned Nazi rally.
Earlier plans called for the market to be relocated that day, which drew protests from farmers.

The rally is being organized by the Madison, Green Bay and Milwaukee branches of the Minneapolis-based National Socialist Movement. The market's attorney, Carol Grob, wrote a letter to the Department of Administration, pointing out that the last weekend in August is a particularly busy one for the market as UW- Madison students and faculty return to campus.

The letter states, "There does not appear to be a reasonable basis for partially denying rights previously granted to and relied upon by an association of Wisconsin small businesses, in favor of the first choice of a significantly smaller out-of-state group. The DCFM recognizes that the (National Socialist Movement's) rights to free speech and assembly must be accommodated. There must be other options, however, than denying critical space and time to the Market."

I plan on videotaping what I can and will be posting it online soon after it all transpires. If anyone needs to have a place to stay, I may be of some help. Send me a request here.

Not only will there be MANY people protesting, but I'm up for also having people don Bush/Cheney regalia and try to be part of the Nazi march. Since I feel many Repugs are not far off from being Nazis, there would certainly be an element of truth to the message.

Let's take it to the streets. And don't forget, you can buy eggs and tomatoes at many Farmer's Market stands before the march begins...:smoke:

5. Evil, in this case nazis, can only be stopped by hammering a wooden stake
...through their black hearts.

6. I'm missing something here...
most places you have to have a permit to hold a rally, and I don't know why the Nazis are allowed to rally close enough to the farmer's market to close it down. Where are the priorities here?

To tell the truth, I really don't bother with protesting Nazis, the Klan, and such. It seems every time these assholes march around, there are 10-100 times as many protestors as marchers. They know that, and feed off of the hate.

My attitude is to let them walk around and ignore them, or just laugh at them. Probably couldn't get away with it on public decency grounds, but it would be fun to have a huge float sitting on the parade route with Hitler, Goebbels, and Bormann blowing a Black, a Jew and a Mexican. No screaming protests-- just make fun of them.

7. Actually, you're on to something with this...
Having them march and having people pretty much ignore them or put their backs to them and perhaps have tape over their mouths with the words "Patriot Act" might be better than screaming and throwing crap at them...

8. If those assholes had tried that in the late '60s when I was a
student in Madison what happened to them would not have been pretty. Buy the eggs now and keep them in a warm dry place...

since when did anyone need an excuse to take it to the streets in madison? probably the only place in america where the phrase "the streets belong to the people" never went out of fashion.

is anyone doing anything for fighting bob? i`ve been trying for three years to get there and this year is looking good...
