Did GHWB and James Baker throw the 1992 election
to improve Junior or Jeb's future prospects of becoming president?

1. Not only no, but hell no. They actually thought they could pull it off.
There was a guy named PEROT who shat in the punchbowl, if you recall.

2. No way.
There would be no way they could depend on any outcome of Clintons term. They had power and thought they had it in the bag to keep it. They didn't throw it away.

4. We people still do vote. Some any how. and I do not think they did
or are really smart enough to do it. 2000 was a down right freak show and with a court that was just for Bush by one vote if I recall. Maybe a judge that like to hunt with VP?

5. No, George Jr. is the results of Sr. losing that election
George was a drunk with no desire to be anything but a failed Texan businessman living off of daddy's money. Jeb wasn't as drunk but even he had little desire to be in politics. Had Bush Sr won in 1992, their next in line would have been Dan Quayle to continue the legacy. But with the lose in 1992, the neo-cons needed a new candidate that they could run as a proxy to return the Reagan-Bush years and enable the PNAC/Carlyle folks.

Ronald Reagan didn't have any offsprings viable for national office. There were always rumors about Ron Jr.s sexual preference, I don't think they would have taken any of the girls and MIchael was a loop job. That left the Bush family with George & Jeb. I really think Jeb was first choice for president because he wasn't a drunk like Geoerge or a fuck-up like Neil but unfortunately Jeb lost in 1994 whereas George won. So then George became the heir apparent to run for president with Jeb getting in Florida and then working the voter roles to clearly favor the republicans.

If anything, I think the republicans tossed the 1996 race. They figured they had enough dirt on Clinton and they had control of the House & Senate to keep things from going to crazy

8. While Baker and Poppy are usually up to no good, I think Clinton won
fair and square in 1992.

He ran a tough, smart, gut-instinct campaign and connected with voters with his personal charisma.
