I cannot remember the date of the rift that tore apart the Presbyterian Church. The PCUSA is the old church. The PCA - Katherine Harris' side - is the radical wing that does not allow women pastors, deacons or elders (or Sunday School teachers who teach men .. children are OK).

But, BUT!, Katherine Harris' college choice springs the lie on the story she tells today! Harris went to Agnes-Scott in Decatur, Georgia (so did Dr. D!). Agnes-Scott is extremely well connected with the Presbyterian Church USA, and not now (or ever) the fundy Presbyterian Church of America (PCA).
