Supposedly you go on and register your non-profit and get people to use their search engine (yahoo powered). Everytime someone uses it that selected your organization, goodsearch contributes about a penny to that organization. Political organizations can do it and there is a listing for the DNC, but says Alabama for state and it has only raised $5.00. You can easily see how much has been raised to date. The company cuts the organization a check at the end of the year.
It has been featured on Oprah and in the WSJ and appears to be legit. The Lance Artmstrong and Gates Foundations are listed so I would assume this is for real. If everyone at DU used it and spread the word we could put some serious cash away for the party. Could the moderators check it out and see if this is something we should do? We have a clear advantage over Republicans as far as internet use so we should really explore this idea. Sorry if this is a dupe.

Anyone know if this would be a good way to support the DNC or local races?
