The Most Important Trial in the World Right Now

Subject: The Most Important Trial in the World Right Now

IN MY LIFE I have never seen an administration so completely INCAPABLE of LISTENING. While generalissimo Bush talks of FREEdom and democracy, Islamic hardliners talk of FREEing Jerusalem from the grip of the west. Everybody is talking right past each other, nobody is listening, and ( surprise !! ) the body count continues to increase.

Saddam Hussein, yes THAT Saddam Hussein, the one that was supposed to have weapons of mass destruction, the dictator that the supposedly moral and virtuous people of the “land of liberty” sent their military half way around the world to overthrow, is waiting to be given his sentence of GUILTY now that his first “trial” is over.

History will show that concerning the trial of Saddam Hussein the American people, separate and apart from the Bush administration, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE have completely disgraced themselves; their words are mush, their actions are that of a mad dog needing to be put down. The American people spent more time watching Nancy Grace or Rita Cosby than they did watching the trial of the man they sent an army to bring ( in the words of George Bush ), “to the justice he denied to others.”

I wonder if Saddam would like to say a few words about his old pals Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney; I’m sure he’d love to have a chat with Colin Powell or George Bush Sr. Isn’t THERE EVEN ONE SINGLE SO-CALLED CONSERVATIVE from red state America that wants to hear what Saddam himself has to say about the missing WMD’s and oil-for-food money?

The American citizen is indeed entitled to participate in Hussein’s trial.

You have really got to hand it to our Commander-in-Chief, he managed to get everybody worked up enough to go half way around the world, overthrow a tinhorn dictator, kill his wicked sons, retake Iraqi cities over and over and over again, and in the process - kill THOUSANDS of innocent people who had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with 9 / 11, AND YET the American people sheepishly MAKE NO DEMAND to have this terrible dictator given a fully televised trial.

Without gavel-to-gavel coverage for Americans – at NO CHARGE - of the trial of Saddam Hussein, the thousands of American Soldiers killed in Iraq will indeed have DIED IN VAIN. Without unfettered access to Saddam’s trial, there can be no possibility of finding JUSTICE in ANY UNITED STATES COURT OF LAW.

I know I’d sure like to hear what the hell Saddam has got to say.

With LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL

BE ALIVE IN THE 21st CENTURY Less RELIGION, more SCIENCE

1. Do you remember before "shock and awe"
Saddam asked for a televised debate with george? george responded that he did not debate with terrorists.
