1990 the brilliance of Bill Clinton? This has nothing to do with his politics because few vote on the issues. He is one of the astute political minds, charismatic individuals in the last century. Do we have another BC in one of the Governor's mansions that I don't know about?

1. I hear folks talk about Kathleen Sibelius like that... |

A female Democratic governor in a very Republican state. She is the 3rd most popular governor in the country!

I think John Edwards has the charisma and likeability factor, though probably not as much as Bill. Bill could tell you he's burning your house down and you'd just nod and smile. The most brilliant politician of our time.
IL's Governor Rod Blagojevich is quite a slick guy and a damn good politician. Corrupt as hell, but likeable. He definitely has designs on the Presidency, too.

7. Southerners are paramount. |

Gotta have a southerner as our next nominee. Kennedy was the last non-southern democrat elected. Southern governors, in particular, are important. Let them try to run the "Mississippi Liberal" label. We've got a few populist progressives down here, and I think that's what we need.
