You just know that this is all over everything - YouTube, all the blogs (both left and right) - all over the place.

Every avalanche begins with a shudder.

on edit:
I have since looked into this and the actual quote from Mr Welch was, "Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?". http://itre.cis.upenn.edu/~myl/languagelog/archives/001036.html

3. Has O'Reilly apologized yet for the Malmedy Massacre misrepresentation?
Or has he tried to sweep it under the carpet?

4. Carpet. Broom. You get the picture.
In the meantime, a bunch of wingnut Olbermann haters got all wrenched out because at a recent TV critics' breakfast in Los Angeles, Keith held up a mask of Bill's face to himself and gave a Nazi salute. They made sure to go running to the Anti-Defamation League so that they could whine about how disrespectful Keith was being to the memory of the Holocaust.

Sheesh. At least Keith gets his historical facts right. And what he was saying is that when O'Reilly gets his facts wrong and thinks American soldiers slaughtered Nazis--instead of vice versa--at Malmedy, and even worse equates it to them killing civilians at Haditha, that makes O'Reilly a Nazi sympathizer.

6. "Every avalanche begins with a shudder."
Well said. Only time will tell, but I agree that big changes in our personal lifes, and in the direction of our country, hinge on small perhaps seemingly not that significant events.

Olberman's rant was definitely something that will be remembered.

7. I would love to think so, but I don't think
we'll have one of those moments anymore.

I don't think they can be shamed. And I don't think enough people are really paying attention.

That was one kick-ass show last night.

8. Maybe. Hope so.,
the Committee on UnAmerican Activities operated for two years after it was, effectively defanged. Did we recognize Mr Welch's moment at the time, or only with the wisdom of hindsight? Before my time.
