Swiftboater for "Maccaca" Allen Blamed Tailhook on the Women

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-boyce/george-allens-latest-pil_b_28359.html

Earlier this week, Dave Johnson posted a provocative piece at The Patriot Project questioning why Paul Galanti, a decorated Vietnam veteran, would campaign for George Allen, who served at a dude ranch against fellow veteran Jim Webb, who actually served in Vietnam.

Dave and The Patriot Project received quite a response and it seems that George Allen may have another little problem on his hands as Paul Galanti, the man hand-picked by Allen to head his Vets For George group, probably should be kept away from the female veterans in Virginia.

Remember the Tailhook scandal where innoncent women were sexually attacked? According to a woman who used to work for Mr. Galanti, he blamed it on " the promiscuous nature of the women involved." How so very 1955.

Perhaps Mr. Galanti's blaming-the-women strategy was a one time remark? Evidently not. A former assistant to Mr Galanti has also reported "I understand from talking with others that there was at least one suit settled out of court."

From WPost near bottom of article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/16/AR2006081601696.html

Allen has long courted those voters and this year formed Veterans for Allen, led by Paul Galanti, a Vietnam veteran who was part of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth campaign that criticized Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) in 2004.

4. There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot going on in Allen's mind that
doesn't involve condesension, racism, misogyny, or Acute Lunk-Headedness, NOS.

I think it would be just excellent to take out Allen's presidential ambitions with a strong win by Webb in November.

8. OC, I think the Presidential liklihood is already gone
I hope Webb does win - we need the seats, but if nothing else this race has exposed the real Allen. It hasn't been a pretty sight!

I'm also glad that the Patriot Group seems to be doing an excellent job. Any one naive enough to think that Rove would not have smeared any Democratic candidate is dreaming. This group seems to be developing methods for dealing with it.

9. I hear ya. I was hoping the Thug liars would be met with a fiery
stance, and this is happening.

I love your comment that this Senate race has exposed the real Allen.

Yes and yes and yes.

6. The Patriot Project seems to be working!
I am so glad they are looking into the backgrounds of these sleasy liars! I hope someone takes this up and demands that Allen fires this guy. (Not Webb, because it would be more powerful coming from someone, preferably female, perceived as independent.)

So, Allen courted the SBVT - it would be great if those people become too toxic to commect with.

7. Allen's campaign is starting to take on a "Katherine Harris" quality.
What a wonderful development. Serves the Confederate wannabe right.
