Today's Compassionate Conservative LTTE
snip>
I feel sorrow for Hurricane Katrina victims who face possible loss of their subsidized housing and other assistance, but what happened to personal responsibility? Society has provided a basis for a new start and opportunity to these relocated adults, whose previous circumstances were harsh largely due to their own personal choices.

Should we allow personal problems resulting from personal choices to become society's problems? Katrina evacuees have my sympathy. They need to get over it and move on. They have already received more than they deserve.

2. It's easy to overdose on conservative compassion...
since it's usually seen in such small amounts. ;-)

4. Trent probably is driving down the highway in his tax-deducible
$100K Hummer, enjoying his big tax break on his 'investments', while dreaming of passing his $30 million estate onto his children (admitted to ivy league colleges due to 'legacy')free from the 'death tax' and envisioning himself in heaven because he's a good Christian.

5. Gee Trent, you're all heart
But the people who lost their homes and jobs can't spend your sympathy or live in your sorrow.

Asshole.
