2. Have you noticed, over the last few days ......
... that this cow seems to be getting harder on Republicans? I'm not cheering for her at all. But it seems to me there's a less than subtle shift in her style and tone toward the ones to whom she has, in the past, shown herself to be glaringly sympathetic.

I keep saying .... it may still be pretty subtle, but there's a decided shift at MSNBC.

6. Beauty is skin deep ... cowiness, however, is deep and ugly.
Yup, in that definiton of 'cow' she's butt ugly. :)

4. Could be that there was no spinning Brian Williams interview and they just
gave up trying.

5. Nah .... its been longer than that ......
I've been saying its my opinion that the change is coming from the top - from Abrams now that he's GM of MSNBC. This Nora thing was but one example. Firing Reeter was the first thing. Moving Scarborough's show to more 'sluts and nuts' and less politics was another. **Everyone** telling us endlessly they're opposed to the war and always were. The known Republicans now claiming to be Libertarians.

As I said .... no one, big thing ... but a whole subtle trend.

7. Unfortunately they did NOT fire Rita-skeeter. She-who-gargles-with-
Drano is still there, but she got demoted - no more weeknight show for her, that is. Now, she's an anchor and I guess - "special correspondent." They did send her out to ambulance-chase John Mark Karr, and ogle at him through his car window (Karr window?) for 45 seconds to see who creeped whom out first. And, like little Tucker-boy, sans the bowtie, she appears mostly during the daytime. The prime time slots they save for Olbermann, Tweety, and - incomprehensibly - Scarborough.

But yes, I think it's true. It seems to me that at least at MSNBC, maybe also at NBC proper - judging from the timbre of Brian Williams' challenging interview of the pseudo cowboy, the tone does seem to have changed. Earler, the interview would have been a fawning disgrace. Now, Brian Williams is actually asking questions with some bite to them. And I'm glad to hear Norah O'Donnell is toughening up, instead of just continuing to swallow whole and regurgitate whole - everything and anything the White House dishes out. It's About Time!!!! And, of course, Olbermann is now being trotted out to meet the TV Critics - in a very high-profile position, so I doubt he's in any jeopardy, either.

8. Not sure about Reeter's status ......
Oh, I know she's still doing 'specials' (whatever shit for brains story no one ELSE wants to cover or one that suits be ever breathless style)), but I think I read somewhere that her current contract will .... uh ..... be her last. I think they're just using her as way to to pay her to sit and do nothing. I have to laugh, if that's what's going on. They almost seem to be giving her every career damaging assignment they can.
