Can any of the administration's defenders please explain why John Ashcroft felt the need to recuse himself? Fitx wasn't even brought in until that happened, but why would Ashcroft feel a conflict with Armitage?

is up to his freaking neck in this. The MSM is reluctant to hound Powell. If any other 'top dog' in *'s admin number 2 man was the leak the MSM would be hounding him/her with "what did you know and when did you know it"

Unless I am wrong, these are the dates. No way it took 3 months for the Armitage news to get to Ashcroft. Ashcroft must have heard about Rove in 12/2003. Rove worked on Ashcroft campaign.
