I cannot imagine Move On doing anything to legitmately illicit an ADL response in defense of LIEberman, but I have been wrong before.

Does anyone know what this is about?

Move On cannot possibly be held responsible for inappropriate comments on its message board.

I think someone is trying to play a card here because someone's political ass is on the line.

5. Karl Rove probably e-mailed them the link to MoveOn's message board...

...this just smells of "Would you vote for someone who fathered an illegitimate black child (McCain)?"

MAYBE they found it themselves. MAYBE a visitor to the site was offended and sent it to them. MAYBE. It's all just a little too convenient for me.

Anti-Defamation League hits MoveOn over user comments

The Anti-Defamation League has struck out at the political action wing of MoveOn.org over after a string of anti-semitic comments surfaced on the site referring to Senator Joe Lieberman, RAW STORY has learned.

"Some examples," writes ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman in a letter to MoveOn, "are 'media-owning Jewish pigs,' referring to Senator Joseph Lieberman as 'Jew Lieberman,' 'Zionazis,' and 'why are the Jews so Jew-y?'"

MoveOn has been an outspoken critic of Lieberman and his bid for re-election.

While the ADL recognizes that the comments are not the work of MoveOn, but rather of readers, Foxman contends that the organization "Should assume some responsibility for this hateful comment." The site allows users to comment on various stories.

6. I smell a rat here

I post on two other mixed message boards and the repug plants are out in force. Everyday there is another thread on one or the other saying that is is a dumb move on the Dems part by getting rid of Lieberman. when the thread dies out from non reply, they start another one. Another thread starter is Hillary for president. It seems to be some kind of organized talking point.

7. MoveOn: less a relationship with the poster than the ADL with Roy Bullock.

The ADL paid Roy Bullock and police to commit crimes. This would be a pot, kettle, black situation if MoveOn had a similar relationship with their posters' opinions, highly doubtful. The ADL are hypocrites- guilty of far worse, in court, than some of the charges they level against groups and individuals. The tricky bit here is the ADL does do some good work, making the distinction harder to make.
