Who would be the best VP choice for Kucinich?
A warmongering hawk from the south, or willie nelson?

/jumping on the speculation bandwagon

5. I'd vote for that ticket
Willie could play the inaugural ball-- which would probably end up being a big barbeque on the south lawn on a Saturday afternoon.

Of course, there'd be Tofurkey aplenty for the vegetarians and vegans, too!

6. There'd be a mass walkout at the convention.
You wouldn't find one in ten Democrats who wouldn't BOO Nader if he dared show his face at our convention.

9. yes, that seems to be the problem.
Instead of trying to unify the message, the Dems keep alienating the other thrid parties with the same message.

To blame the defeat of Gore on Nader and the Greens alone...is just foolish.

But, that's just my opinion.

10. I'm not saying it's rational.
I agree Nader isn't completely to blame-- Al Gore ran a crappy campaign, and the lion's share of the fault is his. Nonetheless, the reality is that most Democrats DO blame Nader more than they blame Gore.

7. Clark
balances out the ticket. Busts all the stereotypes about Kucinich, without being too idologically different from each other... plus, we could get that Department of Peace.

11. Kucinich would do the unconventional
probably a woman or a minority or a gay man like Barney Frank or a socialist who caucuses with Dems in the house like Bernie Sanders.

Kucinich/Sanders--not a bad ticket actually.

But in an alternative universe, if Kucinch had any chance, I'd say Edwards.

16. Cynthia McKinney
Not exactly a warmongering hawk, she is from the South, however and is most definitely a peace candidate, like Dennis. I saw her stand up to the old Bush family retainer, Colin Powell, and his support of "U.S. humanitarian missions" only into certain countries (those where US has special interests) at the same time he ignored genocide in Rwanda and massive starvation in Somalia. She upbraided him on this in a very tender, intimate way, and it was the first time I ever saw him speechless. He couldn't answer.

You know, maybe, upon reflection, not vice president to Kucinich, but a more equal partnership. I know Kucinich is looking to get married, and I know that McKinney has a teenage son, but I don't know that she's married at present ...

18. She'd be my first choice too, even before Bernie Sanders
Like DK, she's fearless, tough, and outspoken...and she seems not to care about the personal cost of telling the truth.

20. Hunter S. Thompson
Willie's a great guy but he's never run for office and the rethugs would have a field day with his tax problems a few years back.
Thompson on the other hand has run for sheriff in the past so he should be able to pick up the law'n'order vote.
