A Victory Chet Edwards (D-Tx) Leads a fight for DOD drug Discounts

U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards today successfully offered a motion to instruct conferees on the FY 2007 DOD Authorization bill to insist on a Senate provision regarding the TRICARE retail pharmacy program. It passed by a vote 374-30 with 192 Democrats ,181 Replugs voting in favor and of couse 30 Replugs opposed. This provision ,adopted under the Senate version of the FY 07 DOD Authorization bill, is designed to require pharmaceutical companies to extend DOD drug discounts to the TRICARE retail pharmacy program like they do for drugs dispensed through the mail order program.

Yes Replugs voted yes they had to thanks to all DU members and others who called their Congress man or women . This is a victory for Military Families and Military retirees. THANK YOU DU
