Rove Trotting Out 9-11 Families to Attack McCain, Graham, Warner?
Andrew Sullivan via Daily Kos http://www.dailykos.com/

Next week, I'm informed via troubled White House sources, will see the full unveiling of Karl Rove's fall election strategy. He's intending to line up 9/11 families to accuse McCain, Warner and Graham of delaying justice for the perpetrators of that atrocity, because they want to uphold the ancient judicial traditions of the U.S. military and abide by the Constitution. He will use the families as an argument for legalizing torture, setting up kangaroo courts for military prisoners, and giving war crime impunity for his own aides and cronies. This is his "Hail Mary" move for November; it's brutally exploitative of 9/11; it's pure partisanship; and it's designed to enable an untrammeled executive. Decent Republicans, Independents and Democrats must do all they can to expose and resist this latest descent into political thuggery. If you need proof that this administration's first priority is not a humane and effective counter-terror strategy, but a brutal, exploitative path to retaining power at any price, you just got it.
Hmmm. Well, I'm sure McCain has forgiven and forgotten South Carolina, 2000. I mean, why hold a grudge just because Bush is deperate?

The Republican party, divided and weak, has a problem. They have no plan for Iraq and need to invent ways to change the topic. And if John McCain, Graham, Warner and the constitutionalists, or Chris Shays and the northeast moderates, think Bush is going to painlessly help them by changing the subject, they might want to rethink their strategy. Bush seems poised to declare war on his own party; that'll make the fourth war (along with Iraq, Afghanistan and the WoTTM) he could lose. He didn't have a record of failure like that even in Texas bidness.

1. Why is Kos posting Sullivan? But still, I must agree....
that Bush is a TRUE TYRANT. He and Cheney will attempt to destroy anyone who does not cowtow to their evil demands.

2. I'm in total agreement with his assessment. We've got to fight
this tooth & nail. WE need to get busy and write via each and every avenue we have. Start at the local level & don't just stick to the net. We've got to put our hearts and souls into this fight and give it all we have. Those lying bums are good at propaganda. We have to speak the truth everywhere & point out each and every lie.

Watch 911 Press for Truth, it's now available on google. If they are going to trot out 9/11 families, they will be hard pressed to outsmart the Jersey girls & Paul Thompson. Encourage everyone to view this video, they point out so many things are overlooked. The 9/11 investigation needs to be re-opened & they give compelling argument to do it & why exactly we are less safe after 9/11.

Imagine spending 45 million in attack ads....it just boggles the mind...I truly believe all of this hoopla is going to backfire in their deserving hateful faces. Let them flaunt 9/11 it does the opposite of what they intend.

3. CAREFUL. In 2004 rumor said Tommy Franks was gonna come out against Bush
And then a week later there was great press attention for the campaign rally where Franks enthusiastically supports his great commander-in-chief.

Same with Gen. Schwarzkopf. Rumor. Press flurry. Enthusiastic endorsement.

Same with Nancy Reagan.

Never trust any RUMOR from WH when any other GOP is involved.
