Aaron Brown on Late late Show on CBS .........
I haven't seen him in a while. He was the guy I was watching five years ago. I recall his reporting being reassuring and very much *not* hyperbolic. Rational, clear and measured.

He told that Scottish guy (the show host) that when he finished that night, after being on the air from when it happened until very late at night, that he just cried.

So did I, Aaron. So do did I.

He's a good guy. I still kinda miss him. I know he and the DU community had their differences, but I put him in the 'good guy' camp.

3. He seemed to be a real reporter who kind of got "turned-out"
by the moula...although it always seemed that he resisted.

4. I hated his guts until now.
I heard him actually excuse the ludicrous way the media was kowtowing to the war party during the Iraq debacle. But, lately he's done quite a turn around. So I guess I should let it go.

5. He looks different. Maybe because it's so late and I can't see
very well at this point. I always liked him.

8. You and me both, husB2Sparkly
As enjoyable as Anderson Cooper's reporting is on CNN, Aaron Brown's low-key delivery was very refreshing. Would love to see him return when there's a change of management.

Leon Harris left CNN to become the lead anchor of the 6:00 p.m. news on the ABC affiliate here in D.C.

9. The first time I ever saw Brown was on 9-11-01
I watched the events in real time from the beginning, as I had flicked on CNN to simply check the time just as they were showing the first tower in flames.

As things got worse and worse, Aaron Brown took over. He got me through that awful day simply through his quiet, calm professionalism. He didn't feel compelled to gab. He just let the events unfold and was there, steady as a rock. I'll always be so very grateful to him.

I hope he's somewhere soon where we can see him.

Maybe there's a job on MSNBC for him. Get rid of Tucker and give me Aaron Brown any day.
