How will Wingnuts respond if they lose both houses in November?
Where will they place the blame -- voting machines, the Clenis, Michael Moore, the "liberal media," or the "leftwing bloggers?"

What will become their domestic rallying cry for 08 -- gay marriage, Biblical prophecy, reproductive freedom, tax cuts, or sex ed in schools?

How will they spin their foreign policy disasters -- liberals ignoring terrorists, appeasing terrorists, supporting terrorists, or hosting terrorists for long weekends at our vacation houses in the Hamptons?

And what catch phrases will they script for dutiful parroting from rightwing teevee types, rightwing radio shriekmonkeys, and rightwing keyboard warriors?

1. I Worry About Physical Violence, Myself
Regardless of the outcome. The country has been so violated, nothing else seems plausible.

4. Good question. The mature ones, no matter how few they may be,
will reassess their relationship to wildcat morons like George W. Bush and behind-the-scenes monsters like the amoral Karl Rove.

An opportunity exists for them to do a little house cleaning. "You Bush people led us into darkness, now your authority is rejected, and new leadership is the order of the day."

But the Far Right nutcases will blame Bush even more for not being far-right ENOUGH, and it may prompt a third-party run by the unstable Sam Brownback. I don't think the Brownback contingent in the GOP is interested in a Danforth-like GOP. I think they're interested in a hang-the-secular-humanist theocracy, and if the GOP nominates McCain, it may be that Brownback bails and goes out on his own. It would likely split the GOP vote and any Democrat in town would sail to an 08 win.

but from the heritage foundation -- club for growth -- concerned women for america -- liberty university -- nra -- american family association -- various boards of directors -- etc -- there will come a united and vigorous response -- much of it will be televised.

winning in 06 and 08 is just a teeny weeny part in a long, long struggle.

8. they will blame the media first and foremost
then they will blame the Democrats for running negative and/or dishonest campaigns (pretending all the while that they ran completely positive, sweet as syrup campaigns).

I doubt that they'll say a word about the blogosphere or voting machines or Clinton or Michael Moore (unless they lump Moore in with the "media").

10. their FAITH is placed on DIEBOLD machines. they are not even thinking
about the possibility of losing the elections. they will claim VOTER FRAUD if by any miraculous chance they happen to lose the election. my fear lies in the diebold machines. they have been known to be programmed to steal votes and switch votes. the bush blueprint for stealing elections has taken off like pizza rolls in a school cafeteria.

12. Everything necessary to fix their fuck ups will be our fault.
The entire cycle will be repeated no doubt. Democrats raised taxes! Weakened the military, etc, etc. They play on discontent, never on making things better.

14. I'm more concerned about the Democrats would act
Would they start hearings into the maladministration's lies and evil actions? Would they start impeachment hearings?

Or would they play nice and be docile?
