Zogby "Republican Candidates Trail Democrats by Just 3%"
Following an aggressive media blitz, the latest Zogby America poll finds the standing of President Bush and congressional Republicans climbing as the November elections rapidly approach.

The telephone survey was conducted Sept. 12-14, 2006, included 1,034 respondents, and carries a margin of error of +/– 3.1 percentage points

...today they have whittled the Democrats’ lead to just three points, 37% to 34%

http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1172

According to Zogby the congressional race is suddenly a statistical tie? The repukes in my chatroom are all screaming that its a statistical tie? FOX suddenly has the race at a 3% Democratic lead? WTF is going on here? Get ready for diebold........I can see it coming...

All sorts of polls say all sorts of things.
These polls are definitely outliers from the main trend.

Zogby's party disparity has always been smaller than other polls.

He also said that Kerry couldn't lose.

9. yeah, he did.
He ain't in the white house.

That's losing.

Whatever other conspiracy theories you may subscribe to, I have that FACT on my side. He's not in the White House.

All you got is innuendo, statistical projections, suspicions and dodgy voting machines. But that ain't proof. It isn't properly even evidence.

When you bring me the fucking rigged machines, and who me the corrupted databases with their original vote assignments, then you got a case. Until then, I'm right and you're bonkers.

RFK Jr. and others are right there pointing it out and nothing has been done about it.

By the way, I am not "bonkers" and neither are you.

I am posting my position and my thoughts, the insults need to be placed on another board.

It's not just Zogby.

10. sure it's tightening.
never said it wasn't.

But Zogby is an outlier to the main trend in terms of vote disparity.

2. pure bullshit
Why do I sense that they are setting us up for another stolen election?

Because according to other polls and articles "the people" are no longer
buying the terror and fear card.

14. the awful republican ad being run here in Ohio

that says Clinton didn't do anything about terror (except catch and prosecute everybody
involved in the WTC 93 bombing, stop terrorist attacks, try to kill bin Laden, and have Sandy
Berger tell Condi about al Qaeda & OBL), bush is on the offense, iraq is going great, and dems
will let terrorists kill you as you stand on your front lawn .....

is flat lining here .... even the conservative paper has panned it.

But this gave bush and the repugs a bounce?

22. so you believe Zogby
a known democrat, is complicitly setting up his polls to help republicans??

come on!

I can understand being skeptical of this, but do so because Zogby's polling is mostly online and crap, not because of a grand conspiracy theory.

23. look Zogby might have done a great poll
Scientific w/ a good sample with high quality statistical
tests ....

but bush and republican "narrowing the gap" just does not
pass the smell test. Everyday lifetime republicans are coming
out against the war, bush, the debt, and the direction of the
country.

I fail to see where "they" get a bounce in the polls.
The news from Iraq keeps getting worse, Ford just
announced that they want to dump every single
hourly employee in the country, bin Laden is still free,
along w/ tons of other factors I can not see where he goes
up.

29. I'm sensing we're getting gamed on the gas prices
And yes I'm sensing among many idiot Americans that they are gaining some confidence in the economy as these prices fall. Plus the media drums in to their heads everyday that "Democrats" don't have a plan.

I'm not surprised if Zogby is showing the Repukes gaining.

3. That's a trend I've noticed.
Since the 2004 election. The closer we get to the actual election, the closer the Republicans get to the Dems. They magically catch up with us in the last couple of weeks. Now, someone with a cynical attitude (me) could say that it makes election stealing easier by making the results more credible.

4. The fix is in folks, what can we do

There is no way in hell this could be right but check it out...

* It doesn't matter what all the people are finally saying about Bush Crooks (even Colin is waving his hand)

* It doesn't matter how Allen talks racist
* It doesn't matter how stupid Bush looks on TV and that the WAR is not being won

All that matters is that the media now must zero in and do their backup work ~ the Republicans MUST win in November or they are cooked

So it's Diebold ~ do ROVE's assignment and fix that vote.

At a certain point we all need to get past the conspiracy stuff, face the music and address WHY Dems aren't winning elections.

21. Because the media isn't letting them get their message out.
You may think it's a conspiracy theory, but when the Dems come out with a total security plan and then, the very next fucking day, all the talking heads are STILL saying the Dems have no plan, what do you call it?

I call it corporate media not allowing the Democrats to speak out for fear they'll lose their gravy boats with the Republican junta.

major control over the corporations and the MSM in this country.

WE Democrats need to get busy and understand that we need to STAND UP and fight them.
They are nothing but bullies who no nothing of war for them or their children.

They are bullies and you don't wake up bullies by being nice.

Not knowing what there doing and keep saying the dem's have no plans. Also the media has been focusing in on nothing but TERROR TERROR making the republican talking points for them. They have stopped focusing in on the Iraq war there were 12 soldiers killed this past weekend and it was barly talked about by the media.

20. YEP ...
It started to turn with the BRITISH saved our butts with the Atlantic plane plot ... SOMEHOW, where the people of this country are today, the Brits save our butts and that somehow makes republicans better able to "keep us safe" ... I knew the 9-11 bump was going to come ... Then, factor in the media parroting 100 times a day, the republican talking point that the Ds' "don't have a plan" ...

I swear to god, EVERY freakin talking head does that "Can you imagine NANCY PELOSI as House Speaker, snicker, snicker ..." We have a congress that is as corrupt as any congress our country has ever seen, that meets less than any congress since the "Do Nothing Congress" in 1948, that breaks congressional rules constantly and has lobbyists writing bills, that has passed NO domestic bills of consequence this year while having debates on meandering "social issues ... Basically the worst congress this country has ever seen ... And, somehow Denny Hastert is OK, while the world will come to an end if Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House ...

JESUS CHRISTMAS ...

13. This is What Happens When "Had Enough?" and Triangulation Are Strategy
The problem here is that while the Democrats have a putative plan to move forward, their primary strategy is to let the Republicans hang themselves. They are entirely reliant on the Republicans repelling voters, and have no reliance on attracting voters themselves. This is very, very risky - it can easily backfire.

32. GOP operative Fritz Wenzel just went to work for Zogby
He left the Toledo Blade where he worked to cover up Tom Noe's criminal activities.

Its all here

http://www.commongroundcommonsense.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t50030.html

"According to several knowledgeable sources, the Blade's chief political columnist, Fritz Wenzel, was told of Noe's potential campaign violations as early as January 2004. But according to Blade editors, Wenzel never gave the paper the all-important tip in early 2004.

Wenzel says that he heard allegations of Noe's misdeeds only in spring 2004 and that he promptly informed his editors of them.

Wenzel, who worked for years as a GOP political operative in Oregon before the Blade hired him, quit the Blade in May 2005 to take a job as a paid political consultant to Jean Schmidt, the Republican congressional candidate who in August narrowly defeated Democratic challenger (and Iraq war vet) Paul Hackett."

Now he's working for Zogby

...

Rove has spent the better part of the summer in Toledo meeting with him and his operatives with the Plain Dealer in Cleveland.

Zogby poll results can no longer be trusted.
