I am pretty sure - somebody is dumping oil contracts.
I don't watch oil so much, but this price action is clear enough.

Somebody got in a lot of trouble speculating and is unwinding.

I don't know who - but I'll find out.

I think this drop in oil prices has a lot more to with this than any political agenda - and either way is BS.

Sometimes it just stares at you in the face.

9. The ship was renamed in May 2001
The Oil tanker Condoleezza Rice renamed to Altair Voyager. Chevron's Fred Gorell: "We made the change to eliminate unnecessary attention caused by the vessel’s original name." This was likely done at the behest of the Bush Administration, but nobody is saying anything

12. BOTH your pictures are just fine.

I don't think too much of Ms Rice - She was on the Chevron board - "whoop de do".

The point of your pictures is not lost on us. They say a lot.

6.  B*sh "big oil" - No. That is a very exclusive club.
He doesn't rank - even as hired help.

But for being president, the guy was a miserable loser in the business.

I am not saying this doesn't smell fishy - it does - but those people are smart enough to jump ship and join the winners - I THINK THEY DID.

And if they did, something else is going on.

What is this, some "third tier" break away group trying to get control. Man - they go up against the Mellons and the Rockefellars, etc - thats big oil.

Something else is going on.

7. Well if someone speced and bought short perhaps they are purposely running
the price down to the stop and then it will surge again..I dont know but the SEC would certainly be watching that....
But to agree with your point I have thought all along that Bush and Cheney participated in insider trading (but non detectable) and informed their buddies to buy long or short just before they made a move that would affect oil..How would the SEC know..Example suppose * started rattling the saber again with Iran..before the action he informed his oil buddies to buy..
In the end sooner or later the profit would be split or deposited into an account that looked totally irrelevant.

8. No - there was one or more BIG long that got over extended
and is bailing - in a big way.

Maybe someone is trying to take advantage for what they think is a political interest, maybe.

BUT - the sisters, they paid for this info some time ago and they know where the winds blow. Better than we do. And they will protect their interests.

You know how I that? - I watch Goldman - where there "contributions" went/go - they aren't going to the gop. Goldman is legitimate hired help for those families - the sisters - the oil companies.

Anyway, this is strange this price action -

Joe

11. Well, maybe somebody is.
What if it is not from the real powers?? I don't think it is.

Cause if that is true, it is going to get really interesting and it will not last until Nov 8.

I just know from growing up around it, B*sh wouldn't be allowed to park cars for those people, really.

B*sh isn't big oil - he is nothing more than a petty cash check to those people. You flatter him to say he is big oil.

He is just an idiot.

15. Maybe, but they love having him in office.
and they love having an environment-hating, corporation-loving, regulation-hating congress too. If you don't think they have a stake in how the Nov elections come out you're not as close to it as you think.

13. It's not much of a mystery. Big oil would not be happy
if the Democrats win the majority. That would mean nasty things like alternative fuels, environmental protection and higher mileage for cars. OPEC plays kissy face with the Bush regime, so they wouldn't be averse to dropping the price until November.

14. It is just not so simple.
The "owners" of those companies have competing interests - They don't care who is in power as long as it is compatible with all the interests - I think.

I think they are at least having second thoughts about the gop. At least that.
