How'd I get on Edwards' mailing list?

For a few weeks now, I've been getting emails from the Edwards campaign. I haven't signed up with his website or donated money to him.

Anybody know if the Edwards campaign is scouring DU for addresses?

No, I'm not particularly bothered by it, but I thought it odd. I've donated to Clark only.

5. DNC, state party, a lot of places

If you give your name up to the party (or a federal or state Democratic candidate) you are going to find your way onto a lot of lists.

I tried forever to get dropped of Gephardt's list. I didn't actively dislike the guy, but I was certain I was not going to support him. So I tried the unsubscribe link. About five times. I finally started writing [e-mail] and other places, and they dropped me.

From State parties. In fact, it's illegal for the party to provide lists gratis.

I'd imagine all the candidates would take advantage of it.

I am also a Clark supporter and have never signed up or given money to Edwards' campaign, but I keep getting emails from them.

I'm a regular donor to the DNC, maybe they are selling their mailing lists?
