Ex-N.J. Senator at Center of Donor Probe
JOHN SOLOMON
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - Presidential Democratic hopeful John Kerry is letting former Sen. Robert Torricelli raise money for him less than two years after the Senate formally rebuked Torricelli for his actions with a political donor.

Torricelli, whose rising political career collapsed in 2002 after his fund raising became the subject of criminal and Senate investigations, said Friday he is not seeking a formal position in Kerry's campaign but has raised money for it.

"I have asked people to send in checks," Torricelli said in a phone interview. "I have raised some money for John. I have known him for many years and probably have contributed to most members of the Democratic caucus."

1. Yet another reason to stay away from Kerry.
Takes support from the ethically challenged.

6. Revolting
He used to be my Senator, & he was as corrupt as they come.

And, he never once answered my correspondence, not even with a form letter. He is scum.

9. WTF
Toricelli is in league with * and his special interest cronies. If Kerry doesn't want to look like a hypocrite more than he already does, he should either repudiate Toricelli up front, or quietly ask him to stop campaigning for him.

eh... You must have a hidden motive ;-) j/k of course

Kerry would be a damn fool to take money that the "Torch" has raised. God, talk about corrupt. I'd want these things to come out now, because Kerry must dissaociate with such horrible corrupt people.
