Vice-Presidental candidate Gore? |
|
Just hit me.
Why not? He should be President.
Can a former VP become VP again?

1. Nope, seems like he bet on the wrong horse |
|
Gore has always had terrible political instincts- "What is the nature of a thing?"

2. I think legally he could be VP again |
|
IMO, I don't know why he would want to be. Correct me fellow DUers if I'm wrong but I think legally a Pres could only serve two consecutive terms but I don't think there is a law from preventing a former prez to run again

3. Sure he could. Only if he has been president for two terms, |
|
would there be a Constitutional question. Now, most of us believe that he has been President for one term. but that is permissible.
As for him being Kerry's VP: sure, why not?? Might as well.... It won't matter anyway.

5. I heard this last week |
|
A RW news source (I cannot find a link so I will not name it), said Dean was going to name Gore as his running mate in order to restart his campaign. I have heard it on a few other boards, but I can find no links, so take it for what you will.

6. Gore is not a logical choice for VP |
|
I worked on Gore's '88 campaign and believe he won in '00 but we do not need to go backwards, we need to go forward. There is nothing that says he couldnt (Clinton could be VP for that matter), I just think it would hurt the party if we did not go foward.
