VIDEO - Bush 41 calls Moon "man with the vision" Pat Boone serenades Moon
Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 07:04 PM by Cell Whitman
Gorenfeld has put some video clips together including that rather famous quote where Bush 41 calls Sun Myung Moon "the man with the vision." If you know anyone who has doubted that quote, show them the clip in Gorenfeld's talk2Action post.

Also the video shows Pat Boone serenading Moon and his wife, plus Gary Bauer, Beverly LaHaye and Ralph Reed at Moon's conference which celebrated the Unification Church changing the name of their organization to the "Family Federation For World Peace and Unification" (FFWPU) - still the Unification Church just a name change.

See Video in the post here:

Bush helps Moon open propaganda paper in Argentina - calls Moon "the man with the vision."

Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush sell the name, prestige and honor of the Presidency of the United States to Moon:

Bonus post:

In last week's Talk2Action post, Gorenfeld calls on David Brooks to run a correction to his NYT article in which Brooks mocks Kevin Phillips for saying the Bushes and Moon hang together.

See photos and story - Bush and Moon family Album

http://www.talk2action.org/story/2006/9/14/22322/6980

JG's post includes a photo of Bush 43 and Laura posing with Chung Hwan Kwak.

Kwak has a top position in just about every Moon front group and I expect he will continue to be the CEO of Moon's empire after Moon dies.

Moon's third son by the current marriage, Hyun Jin, will be the likely heir to Moon's throne as he has been promoted up the ranks of a few key Moon fronts and a paper in Nepal reported that Moon and his wife had transferred "spiritual powers" to him. Hyun Jin is married to Chung Hwan Kwak's daughter.

Trivia: Hyun Jin and his wife are the ones who actually placed the crowns on Moon and his wife's heads at the Dirksen Building coronation in March of 2004. Danny Davis and Roscoe Bartlett only carried Mrs. Moon's robes and crowns.

The picture of Kwak with George and Laura in Gorenfled's post was taken from a Korean news broadcast which showed Kwak being interviewed while standing in front of a wall containing a single framed hanging picture of Kwak standing between the Bushes and the Cheneys. The photo in Gorenfeld's post is the left side of that picture as his post is about the Moon organization and the Bushes.

here are other pictures taken from the Korean newscast in which the Kwak was showing off his connections to the US government - see the close up of W and Laura with Kwak at Gorefeld's post.

Not sure, but I am guessing this photo was the result of Moon's long ties to the Bush family and Moon's $250,000 donation to the Bush Cheney inaugural:

Gorenfeld's post has a photo of Neil Bush posing on stage with Moon promoting Moon's Universal Peace Federation.(UPF) The UPF is Moon's personal theocratic United Nations which he created when he realized the UN was not biting fast enough on his plan to theocratize that organization. He is using the UPF to gather nations into his web and cajole the current UN into accepting an increased "religious" influence.

Sorry to say, but you will become familiar with the UPF sooner or later.

Here is a photo of Neil dining with Moon during the tour. To Neil's right is Jose DeVenecia who is the Speaker of the House of the Philippines and is who pushes proposals to theocratize the United Nations on Moon's behalf. To Neil's left is Doug Joo, head of the Washington Times. Moon and his wife have their backs to the camera.

By the mid-1980s, Moon’s Unification Church had carved out a niche as an acceptable part of the American right. In one speech to his followers, Moon boasted that “without knowing it, even President Reagan is being guided by Father (Moon). ”Yet, Moon also made clear that his longer-range goal was the destruction of the U.S. Constitution and America’s democratic form of government. “History will make the position of Reverend Moon clear, and his enemies, the American population and government will bow down to him.” Moon said, speaking of himself in the third person. “That is Father’s tactic, the natural subjugation of the American government and population.”(Robert Parry http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/moon3.html )

7. Which Moon?
Oh, no one in particular, but I didn't immediately connect the dots to the Reverend. Thanks for the edit. I think more people will be able to read your post with a better sense of context. Have a good weekend.

10. I am guilty of always thinking of "that" Moon and I guess
I think others do also. Helps to be clear but I also don't write to good. :7 Thanks for making the point. All my writing is just for additional info, the main thing is for people to go see JG's post and the video.

You have a good one too, I am heading to the liquor cabinet now myself. :7

11. What a guest list.
I see the original WP article is availible at the Wiki site.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A61932-2004Jun22.html

I will save it again and not lose it. No one ever believes me when I tell them.

This is serious. When you give people like Moon a legitimacy, it is serious.

20. word to the wise on Moon's Wiki pages - propaganda
I haven't read them in a month or so... but my past experience is that Moon's wiki pages are blatant Moonie propaganda. They had two operatives hounding and pressuring the Wiki people and their pages on the UC and Moon were obvious Moon bullshit, anything negative was couched in terms that I know from experience Moon's cult would want them put to take some of the edge off.

maybe they have changed but I doubt it, like the UN -

http://www.globalpolicy.org/ngos/analysis/1101moon.htm

wiki isn't designed to deal with a group like Moon, Moon's people will railroad them.

One example: last time I looked they actually said that Moon didn't teach that Jesus failed. That is biggest crock of bullshit I ever heard. Moon has said it many times, they even teach the kids through games that Jesus failed.

They not only say Jesus failed but that Moon had to marry Him to an old Korean women for Him to get into heaven. Moon also doesn't just say he is THE messiah but he also says when all is said and done that God and he will kick back and God will admit that Moon is better that He(God). Moon believes that he is here to save even God for God is juts sitting up there suffering because his creation is such and mess and only Moon can fix it.

It is an ok place to find some links and basic info but I wouldn't put much stock in any WIKI Moon page.

14. I think most people at DU have seen it.
I have yet to see a post involving Moon in which it wasn't mentioned.

It's the rest of the population who don't know about it. I know it is shocking and all that but believe me there is much much much more to Moon than that and I wish people would get an interest in other things...Moon outspent Scaife manipulating our political process, he has been wildly successful and he is now setting up an organization to manipulate the world's political structures. That to me is lot more important than the crowning or whether or not johnny Goshe is Jeff Gannon. The crowning is past, Moon is moving on and until people look at what he is doing now, you won't stop or even slow him down.

How many of you have ever looked up the Universal Peace Federation and really looked at what they are doing? I have the link to that and wish people were more interested in that. I understand though, the crowning was like a train wreck and no one seemed to care. The "media" only covered it TWO MONTHS after it happened and then only because they were shamed into it by Gorenfeld who posted the video of it. Then it was only a blip, no real reporting other than Gorenfeld. There were only two articles about Neil Bush helping Moon and the UPF and neither even used the name of the organization.

But, some look at the crowning and think a)WTF!! and b) Moon is a clown.

Truth is, he is so far ahead of the world in understanding him and what he is pulling off it is frightening. Yes, people who don't know need to be told, but we need to get way past the crowning, imho.

Folks at DU know about this and are outraged, though I'm pretty sure we'd be called loons if there weren't pictures to prove it. I knew about the coronation, but not the world tour. It's just ridiculous.

21. 95 and 96 were heavy Bush shilling for Moon years
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 12:23 AM by Cell Whitman
In 95 he made a six stop tour in Japan for Moon including before 50,000 at the Tokyodome. Moon couldn't be there because they wouldn't let him in the country - he watched from Seattle. But at $100-195 a seat Moon made money off his trinket President.

Moon made hundreds of millions, likely billions, swindling the Japanese, targeting widows. Bush gave Moon some extra face for his cons. Read about one main source of Moon's money here:
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/8/9/13513/46197

In 96 Bush helped Moon open the paper in SA and did this gig at the FFWPU inaugural. I read once that in all, Bush and Bar(she would often speak also) shilled for Moon 16 times on three continents.

In 1996 after Bush did the FFWPU gig he went to SA for Moon. This is when he called Moon "the man with the vision."

"Mr. Bush's presence as keynote speaker gave the event invaluable prestige," wrote the Unification News. "Father (Moon) and Mother (Mrs. Moon) sat with several of the True Children just a few feet from the podium." …

"Once again, heaven turned a disappointment into a victory," the Unification News exulted. "Everyone was delighted to hear his compliments. We knew (Bush) would give an appropriate and 'nice' speech, but praise in Father's presence was more than we expected. ... It was vindication. We could just hear a sigh of relief from Heaven." (Robert Parry - Dark Side of Rev. Moon: Hooking George Bush - 1997 http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/moon1.html )

Bush also helped Moon open a training camp in Uruguay which Moon stocked with 4200 Japanese female "seminarians" - that is what he calls them. He actually has his hooks in Japan more than Korea at least till now, I think.

Four years after losing to Clinton, Bush was flown off to Montevideo, Uruguay, to inaugurate a seminary training 4,200 young Japanese women to spread the word of Moon throughout Latin America. The Washington Post reported that Bush was paid $100,000 for his trouble. Uruguay became a base for the Moonies when the country was under the heel of one of the most vicious military regimes in the region during the 1970s. They acquired the one luxury hotel in Montevideo, the Victoria Plaza, as well as its largest printing works and a number of prominent local publications. (New Internationalist - Dec. 2000 http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0JQP/is_330/ai_30443212 )

It appears that Moon had needs for 4200 seminarians - helping him gain control of a bank – Moon’s Uruguayan efforts:

Uruguay's bank secrecy laws and Moon's political clout have spared his operations from significant legal action. But the money laundry has drawn periodic attention from government and other investigators in recent years.

In 1996, for instance, the Uruguayan bank employees union blew the whistle on one scheme in which some 4,200 female Japanese followers of Moon allegedly walk into the Moon-controlled Banco de Credito in Montevideo and deposited as much as $25,000 each.

The money from the women went into the account of an anonymous association called Cami II, which was controlled by Moon's Unification Church. In one day, Cami II received $19 million and, by the time the parade of women ended, the total had swelled to about $80 million. (Consortium News - Rev. Moon's Uruguayan Money-Laundry - Samuel Blixen – Aug.19, 1998 http://www.consortiumnews.com/1990s/consor16.html )

Bush is still shilling for Moon:

16. "Mr. Boone. meet Mr. Moon"...giggly Pat Boone seems awestruck.
I remember when he was so popular as pop singer. His cousins were in a club I was in at high school. They were pretty nice girls, really. I am not sure when he became so involved with religion.

In this video it is scary how giggly he is.

I am amazed this post is getting so little attention here.

haha hey, in the full video before Boone wades down into the crowd he is on stage with Debbie and Debbie's daughter singing "thank heaven for little girls" after he "meets Mr. Moon" he then gets Moon's wife and co-messiah up and asks them if they ever heard "April Love"...

Tell me he did not sing April Love. I would love to hear see that full video.

Boone has lost it. And his cousins last I heard had become very pious. I had to get off a high school mailing list because I was the only one who did not worship Bush. They are a close-minded bunch of older folks, and this open-minded senior does not fit with them anymore.

I guess the whole Boone clan turned fundamental gradually. I could see that in this area.

I did recommend, I had forgotten.

24. Joe, what was that all about?
I am not familiar with what you are talking about.

I don't think he did, it was short clip just slightly longer than what is in JG's clip. He and his daughter and granddaughter singing on stage, then he came down and appeared to be setting up singing April love. they didn't have the whole show.

I am interested, what did the Flyntster uncover? I am guessing if the he uncovered it Boone probably didn't do it for this crowd.
