1. I don't get the point of this thread.
This is breaking news? With 2700 already killed, what's your point? Are you concerned for the parents, the wives and kids? Or, as your placement of this thread in GD Politics would suggest, is this simply a perverse exploitation of the deaths of two soldiers?

This would be far more meaningful is made some attempt to acknowledge those left grieving.

6. Yes, they were exploited. So we join the morons in their callous behavior?
No thanks. I'm better than that. We all should be.

11. Adopting the Freeper style, I see.
If you don't like the argument, insult your opponent.

It doesn't work.

13. Perfect. An insult followed by a smilie with no text.
From all this I gather that you totally support the notion of exploiting the deaths of soldiers for political gain.

Correct?

14. your indignation is phony -- and i find that funny.
nothing in the op was exploitative.

nothing.

but you make this accusation:''Or, as your placement of this thread in GD Politics would suggest, is this simply a perverse exploitation of the deaths of two soldiers?'' -- that perfectly points out your lack sincerity and phony indignation.

the op is correct to point the outrageousness of the passing of 2700 soldiers -- and there was nothing that suggested that there was a lack of grief -- except in your attempt to fabricate moral superiority and show it off.

2. if anywhere near 30% of voters are as stupid as they appear to be
it will be close enough for the repukes to steal

their propaganda machine (basically all the US media) will make it seem 25 to 20 points closer than reality, setting expectations that it could go either way

then their crooked voting machines will make a repuke squeaker

then their propaganda machine will deliver some rationale like "the mobilized religious moralists" or "the improving economy"

then the sheep will go back to grazing contentedly, not noticing until its too late that what little grass there is has been poisoned.
