4. Maj. Gen. John Batiste said "We need new leadership in the Pentagon"
There are 3 retired generals who were in Iraq at the beginning and they are eviscerating Rummy and the boys.

18. Don't ANYBODY forget, though - rummy wouldn't be where he is,
in the position to do the damage he has, WITHOUT bUSH.

Do you think for a single instant that either Al Gore OR John Kerry would have picked rummy for Defense Secretary? In their worst moments? If they were drunk and stoned and tortured? Do you think ANYBODY on our side, if in the White House, would have put a deathmonger like him in such a prominent position?

Hardly. Hell, I doubt even joe lieberman would have done so.

2. Few more details someone. I can sneak back for an update in
a few minutes. I'm at work and although when I have down time I know they see me reading and posting, and I don't care if they do, right now I have something I have to do and this thread really interests me.

15. "retired" Generals? - It's the only time they can be honest without Rummy
firing them for speaking out, like any general is going to have a face off with Rumsfeld while he's still employed by the government.

Shenseki spoke out, and Rummy forced him into early retirement!! -

12. We need 60,000 more soldiers or our children will pay for that
mistake. I'd think the children would be paying with their lives if they fulfill this.

17. they have theirs, we have ours
At the outset, we knew that the iraq war could result in the breakup of
iraq in to kurdistan, a shia and a sunni area. Now, 'gosh' one general
said "'we' did not do our homework.".. nobody can read.

That civil war was inevitale when the borders of the iraq state were drawn
by the british after ww1, the state is unnatural like yugoslavia, like
the US and mexico being joined, would nnever work in a month of sundays.

20. Well, part of turkey, iraq, syria and iran

It does seem that the kurds themselves are unclear on where it is, sorta like israel,
but like israel, will not be deterred, even in turkey.

in preparation to invade Northern Iraq to stop Kurdish incursions into Turkey. Once Turkey gets involved, this is going to get soooo much worse.
