However, if you go to the Southern States, Bush slaughters every democrat, which makes the strategy of going for big support outside of the south the best strategy for winning against Bush in November.

5. So much for the electability issue
By the time November 2 rolls around, it's very possible that no matter who the Dems nominate, they'll beat bush. The cleaner the past, though, the better.

Thank you, Howard Dean, for turning the tide in America from "hail bush" to "hell with bush"!

2. Edwards beats Bush and people don't even know him.
I just wish we could have everyone drop out except those two, and then have a straight up debate.

If this thing goes down without that happening, I'll have such deep regret over what could have been.

If Kerry and Edwards go head to head on a level playing field, I won't have any regrets, no matter what the outcome.

7. What
I want to see, is evidence that Edwards is less known than the other candidates.

6. Where are these head-to-head polls
showing Bush "slaughtering Dems" in the Southern states?

8. these are a joke
if you think Kerry fares better than Clark against Bush, you're foolin yourself. We've traveled all over this state, and Clark gets tons of republican and military crossover votes.(shh...don't tell them his policies are actually fairly liberal). Seriously, we've campaigned at all of our local VFW and American Legions, and many say they'll vote for Clark if he wins, but otherwise they're voting for Bush.

Don't believe me? try collecting 10,000 ballot signatures in Indiana for a Democrat. Dean is the only one on so far as they have a grassroots campaign and have been working on it for a year. We're now done and had only a couple of very frosty months. Kerry & Edwards may not make the ballot, and they've been trying for a long, long time.

These head-to-head match-ups are simply a product of media attention. Hey, Kerry *looks* electable, afterall he's winning most of the democratic primaries, right? :silly:
