I Hate Nader.
I cannot believe he forced 25% the Democrats to vote for the torture bill, because that is so sickeningly disgusting of Nader to do that and he has no spine to stand up against the Republicans.

run a better campaign.

It's really, IMO, tacky to blame those who voted for Nader in 2000 as many would not have done this had they had any inclination of the nightmare that has materialized.

Face it, The Greens are basically our "further left of the center" compadres. We can help them in local races and, just perhaps, encourage our lauded Representatives to address some of their heartfelt issues.

We can make this work. Although I understand the bitter feelings over 2000, it's well beyond time to make amends and work together.

I have to admit, today - Anybody but Bush (or The Republican Party) means EVERYTHING. With a little warmth and shared goals, we can bring many Greens and former Nadarites with us to vote for Democratic Candidates on the National level.

Remember, The Greens are much closer "to family" than the Republicans can ever be. It's time to set aside the petty bickering and work together. :hi:

and how he refused to sign the KYOTO treaty and deregulate environmental protections? And how he killed about 100K iraqi civilians and lost about 3000 troops, and how he ignored warnings that OBL was determined to strike at the US.

Yea, Nader is a "jerk." And, might I remind you, that Nader is a political opponent who lied about Democrats just like Bush has?

Over 90% of Dems REFUSED to support the legislation you Nader voters are bitching about TODAY.
Contrast that to over 90% of republicans WHO SUPPORTED the torture amendment.

Got any comment on the fact that we are even voting on torture legislation?

Also, I'd be glad to contrast Nader quotes from 2000 with that of Democrats to see who was "right" if you like?

36. Nader made Lieberman run against Lamont
Nader was responsible for the supreme court we have now and the senate group that formed to protect Bush's appointment
Nader was on this planet when we had Democrats vote for this torture bill.
Nader was alive when Paul Wellstone was killed
Nader was in the US when Democrats voted for the bankruptcy bill and convinced Lieberman to support it.
Nader caused Lieberman to be against gay marriage.
Nader made the supreme court vote against democracy in 2000

See
it's that easy

24. I really think people need to quit blaming Nader for wanting to run
for President. That was his right and just because he exercised that right - people have condemned him to hell. The reason we lost is because we did not have a strong enough candidate - end of story.

Many people credit Clinton's presidential win to Ross Perot. You see - it works both ways

41. 10-15% = -5% sounds about right to me!
Nader of course would refer you to the Senate rollcall vote to show you that it is in fact 25%:
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=2&vote=00259

These 12 Democratic Senators voted for torture:
Carper (D-DE)
Johnson (D-SD)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Lieberman (D-CT)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Pryor (D-AR)
Rockefeller (D-WV)
Salazar (D-CO)
Stabenow (D-MI)

And 32 Democratic Senators voted against torture.

Nader would say 12/(32+12) = 27 and 3/11 % voted for it. OMG HE CONTRADICTED HIMSELF. BECAUSE BEFORE I SAID HE WOULD HAVE SAID IT WAS 25% AND NOW HE IS SAYING IT IS 27 AND 3/11 %. WHAT A JERK!
