Josh Marshal: Sex with a 16 year old in DC is legal. |
|
But sending e-mails of a sexual nature may not be.
Is that not too strange. I guess sex with a 16 year old would be legal lots of places in the country.
One guy wanted to know how this adm will keep the country safe if it can't keep 15 year olds safe.
You know - this is getting good. This one might really have legs. Jeez. We've seen so many just come and go maybe this will be the one that sticks in everyone's craw./

1. I would think the age of consent in FL would be at issue too |
|
since that's where the kid was. Also any federal laws because this involves interstate communications.

2. If they cover up abuse of kids, |
|
then why wouldn't they cover up everything else, like, for instance, their mistakes in Iraq?

3. It's always SEX that sells ... |
|
Look at all of the 'investigations' into Clinton that went on, and the public paid no attention whatsoever. But when it involved SEX, it was all over the MSM and the newspapers within minutes.
And oh, the sweet irony of it all ...

The child was in Florida at the time, where the age of consent is older.
Second, the crime isn't sex, it is whatever Florida calls indecent communication with a minor.
This means nothing, unless Josh knows something about Foley having sex with a 16 year old in DC.

9. Age of consent varies among states; Fed law jurisdictional on the |
|
electronic communications aspect (Foley was co-sponsor of the bill).
Seems that Foley waited until pages were out of the program to start up his internet communications with them. The page who got the emails that were released lives in La, not Fl. We don't know where the page who got the explicit IM's that were released is from.

14. its the cover-up stupid |
|
conspiring to keep it from the one Dem on the page oversight committee for a year is the most damaging tidbit for the GOP House Leadership.
The law will deal with Foley. Whose going to deal with the conspiracy to cover it up?
