Rush Limbaugh says, being pedophile no big deal.
Edited on Mon Oct-02-06 01:39 PM by Freedom_from_Chains
I was listening to Rush Limbaugh on the way home, yes I closely monitor what the enemy does, when I heard him respond to a caller that Foley should resign and that should be the end of it. Uh, now sex between consenting adults is so abhorrent that we need to bring the government to a standstill, but a congressman making sexual overtures to a male minor is no big deal! Are we next to learn that it was all just a misunderstanding, that this was just a joke, that Congressman Foley has an unusual sense of humor. Yeah that Foley, he's just a wild and crazy guy.

Actually I think this is a good sign. When the Republicans are so in the toilet that they have to defend the pedophiles among their ranks the American public might actually start to ask, "What does that say about the rest of the Grand Old Party?" "What kind of party are they really having?"

3. Yeah he's just a barrel of laughs
If Franken or someone else on AAR said something like that, freepers would be calling for his or her head. Fuck Limbaugh.

4. I don't think so, and I have listened to him since 92 so I know his
tone. He is actually trying to blame the Foley incident of Democrats! That is his tone.

24. No I think..
he will be trying to blame Clinton. Rush will say: "Now if Clinton did not have an affair with Monica Lewinsky then he would have been more alert to stop Mark Foley in during his term as president". When Rush is asked why Bush did not catch Foley. He will say: "we should not criticize the president during war time".

7. He can't have it both ways.
Thanks for listening to his drivel. Would love some actual quotes to discuss with our inlaws that listen to him every day.

I can't believe that they are so far gone that they would agree that Foley was just a funny guy.

10. he tries to hide behind the "entertainer" label. Tone of voice
can be misinterpreted. Will the listener accept that is is no big thing, or will they "get" his tone of voice?

22. If money was involved I'd bet so as well...but I agree with him. Rush uses
"jokes" to convey his true feelings while leaving himself an "out" if something explodes in his face.

18. that was what I was thinking
his little jaunt to the Dominican Republic with a bottle of "can't get it up on me own" booster. Hasn't the Dominican Republic replaced Thailand for kiddy prostitution? Rush spouts family values, yet has been married now, what?--four times? Decries druggies (throw away the key) until it comes to someone from the GOP, like himself. He is a hypocrite of the basest form.

12. I'm sure Rush would have done the same schtick if it were a Democrat.
Because we know how unbiased the $24MM/year parrot is when it comes to honest commentary of Democrats and Republicans. Why anyone would listen and take the word of a narcotics junkie (who also takes side trips to the DR for some Viagara-inpsired R&R)seriously, is beyond me.
