Anybody Know About The Congressional Race In Illinois 19th District....
This is the Shimkus district. His website already has a alibi for his actions in this scandal.

Here's a link: http://www.house.gov/shimkus/

Shimkus is running against a Democrat named Danny Stover. Does Stover have a chance now? How can we take this seat?

What about Denny Hastert? He's in the Illinois 14th District. Here's a link to his website that doesn't acknowledge this scandal yet. http://www.house.gov/hastert/

Hastert is running against a John Laesch (D). Checkout Laesch's blog about FoleyGate here: http://www.john06.com/node/298#comment

Does Laesch have a chance now? How can we take this seat from Hastert?

1. I have cousins in the 14th disctrict. One is a Dem, the other a Repub.
They have both always hated Hastert though. So I am sure this won't change their votes.

2. John Laesch was just on Ed Schultz.
Wouldn't it be sweet to see this 32 year-old upset Fat Bastert? Long shot, I realize, but....

3. No kidding.
I want him to resign. This is why we always need a Dem candidate even in a race that seems unwinnable.

4. Hastert's district leans heavily Republican, but it is in the realm of
possibility if the scandal gets bad enough.
