While it is fun to go ballistic over Foley, Hastert, et al, it
is important not to get distracted....

Cheney started a war, remember.  More are being killed,
kidnapped, tortured, wounded each day!
We should be demanding that media show pictures of this every
day, also show the coffins Bush won't show returning.  People
need to see what is happening....

4. I think you're missing what's really going on here ...

This is not a matter of 'having fun' or 'going ballistic'. This is a matter of the GOP -- through their own arrogance and stupidity -- having handed us a very powerful weapon to use against them.

No one on this site needs to be reminded of what's going on in Iraq, or elsewhere. And no one here is being 'distracted' away from other issues.

Right now, THIS is the issue -- because it is getting traction in the MSM (they can't RESIST stories involving sex), it is showing the Republicans for what they are (people willing to put protection of their political image above the protection of children), and is NOT playing well among their own 'family values' supporters.

We would all have preferred that the situation in Iraq, the Torture Bill, the wire-tapping, etc. would have woken the public up -- but if THIS is the story that does it, I'll take it.

Sometimes your weapon of choice proves to be ineffective; so if you're handed a weapon that DOES THE JOB, you grab it and go with it.

My message is what we should be telling others to do and to
focus on.  Unfortunately our voters in Ohio or North Dakota
are not as informed or as liberal as our friends in Toronto. 
They are concerned about Iraq.  I just made some get-out-the
vote calls this week-end.
