Letter: If Sen Burns(MT) loses, lunatics may be put in charge

A Letter In The Billings Gazzette....

The guns, for example, will come under heavy assault; and if the guns go, so will our remaining freedoms. Yes, some of us think our nation is already in great peril, but there is no point in hastening our demise. We had better re-elect Conrad Burns and, at least, help delay the disaster that would be inevitable otherwise.

We could, at least, hope in the meantime for a God-given miracle, giving us a reprieve from the downfall of our once great and wonderful nation.

Wayne Timm
Billings

Someone needs to remind Tim that John Kerry owned a gun or two....Cerianly you know this is a FReeper when they have to invoke God into the conversation. Tim.....Please lay off the Koolaid your president has already signed away your right to duer process.

As far as I can remember, Tester is anything but "anti-gun". And hopefully he will win.

2. There is some truth in what he says ...
"We could, at least, hope in the meantime for a God-given miracle, giving us a reprieve from the downfall of our once great and wonderful nation."

Sounds like he has no faith in the direction the country is headed. Doh!

7. I keep wondering why these a**holes,

who seem to believe that it's ok for this government to steadily strip us of our constitutional rights today, don't seem to realize that this erosion of 'rights' will be used to take their guns tomorrow???

debate joke that everyboy will need their guns to fight the 'terrorist over here?' or somwthing along those lines.

Then there's this

'Democratic challenger Jon Tester is leading Republican U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns by a 47 percent to 40 percent margin, a new Gazette State Poll shows.

Ten percent of the voters are undecided, while 3 percent said they would vote for Libertarian candidate Stan Jones if the election, set for Nov. 7, were held today.

The telephone poll, taken by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research of Washington, D.C., Tuesday through Thursday, surveyed 625 registered Montana voters who said they regularly vote in state elections. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points....'

5. So, vote Republican and hope for a miracle
Because if the Democrats get in, they may restore the country to greatness, but how will you possibly enjoy the greatness if you don't have yore trusty shootin' arn? That about sum it up for you, Mr. Timm?

I take it there's no IQ test to own a gun.

6. Wayne Timm wrote "remaining freedoms."
Hey, Wayne, the reason you don't have all your freedoms and are left with "remaining freedoms" is because the Repubs are in charge.

Think about it.
