Begala --- deal with a law firm Smith and Wesson. :)

On this afternoon's Situation Room, Paul Begala and Bay Buchanan discussed the Foley scandal, and they were in full agreement.

Begala: "If somebody said that to my kid they will deal with a law firm Smith and Wesson. It's going to my 12-gauge."

Something I never thought I would say, but now I must; Bay Buchanan was absolutely right (as well as Begala). This is only an issue of partisanship if you are a politician whose party is being brought down by this scandal. For everyone else your response will come as a parent.

We are now starting to see the typical Republican apologists not acting so typical. They are coming out in strong opposition to the way the Republican leadership in the House handled this whole situation. The fact that the Republican leadership did not act soon enough is what will cost them this election. It is not Foley's fault, but their

3. Don't forget he's the guy who dissed McKinney
made all those snide remarks about Howard Dean, spent 1/2 hour on crossfire kissing draft dodger Ted Nugent's ass, and repeatedly says kkkarl rove is a friend of his. I think any of us feel the same way about how we'd respond to pedophiles stalking our kids, but Begala is definitely not on our side.

4. watching buchanan, i think she's angry at being exposed
for the systematic hypocrisy which is the esprit of the rightwing republicans and their mediawhores; she seemed bitterly angry at foley ('instead of discussing it, they shoulda beat the hell outta him!') more then warranted by her status as a 'parent'....how many babies have been buried alive by men whom buchanan cheers for more? her hypocritical anger came across as inspired by a sense of personal injury, which she tried to explain by invoking her parenthood...what an evil, nasty heeartless woman buchanan is? she was there to offset paul begala, who, in a nutshell said foley was best dealt with violently, and buchanan tried to compensate for foley's rightwing creds by simply ignoring them and joining begala in the lynchmob, even saying 'foley is a homosexual whp preys on children' as if that justifies her own treasonous behavior, makes her a victim too.
