Good Grief. FOX after Murtha/ABSCAM
Surfed by FOX and caught what I think was Colmes saying Murtha was at ABSCAM. They just showed grainy pictures. I have no idea what's up.

1. He was there but he refused the money offered....
Which was why he was cleared of his involvement in the scam....

He was there strictly to try and get some jobs for his district which, at the time, had an unemployment rate closing in on 22%....

He thought they were legit and when they offered him cash money, he declined and walked away....

3. What?! How dare he not be a crook?
How can he ever expect to get ahead if he isn't a crook? Oh wait, maybe he actually wants to represent the people who elected him. What a novel concept.

5. I love Murtha on the anti-war stance he's taken but.....
the whole tape clearly showed that he was open to the idea of a bribe, just not right now.

He wanted to get the sheik's money into his district as cover for him to introduce special legislation to allow him to immigrate. He said that after they did what they were said they going to do (i.e. invest in a mine and a couple of banks) he'd be open to the bribe (not so blatant as that) but you'll get the picture if you listen to the whole 53 minute FBI tape. 2. Typical H&C lovefest. I can't stand either of those hosts.
One is a bully and the other is a pushover.

Fair and balanced?

4. They don't want to revisit this after twenty-six years
If they insist on bringing up Representative Murtha, then we'll have no choice but to remind them of Senator McCain and the Keating Five scandal.

Turnabout is, indeed, fair play. ;)

10. Deju Vu
Swiftboat redux, and Hannity is a scumbag who will be yelling more about this than the current coverup of Foleys actions and the need to protect children in D.C.
