If we can't take back Congress now, with all the dirt finally comming out on the thugs, we don't deserve it. Delay, Ney, Foley, NIE Report, Woodward's book etc., etc. One month before election and we should take an example from the Big Dog and start attacking!! If not maybe the entire party needs to be revamped, I don't know. Any thoughts?

1. Not just attacking, but showing the alternative
This is why Clinton was so great. He did not just say that Bush did nothing; he gave details on what he did.

It is not enough to talk about loss of wages; we need to add what we are going to do. In one sentence. No long policy papers.

Many still cannot afford health insurance - this is what we are going to do.

Many cannot afford to retire - this is what we are going to do, etc.

It is possible that some will already see their heating bills go up before election day and we can point to this one, too.

3. If we do lose this time . . .
The Dem leadership certainly has some 'splaining to do.

We have good candidates (as far as I can tell, and I've been following 10 or more races pretty closely), and the issues are on our side, so . . . if we lose, it'll be because of some combination of three factors: 1) Inadequate voter outreach/turnout efforts; 2) Vote fraud (black box and other); and 3) Lack of courage leading up to the recently recessed Congress, where Dems showed way too little backbone in standing up to WH-favored unAmerican and unconstitutional torture and wiretapping legislation.

4. There is a hell of a lot of motivation to make certain the rethugs.......
no longer control our government; it's up to the Democrats, Independents and Thinking Moderate Republicans to change the course of this corrupt government. Changing the guard in Congress is ONLY the beginning. The ENTIRE SYSTEM is broken and needs to be fixed. I remain hopeful.

7. You know, I agree with you.
If we don't win this time, heads must roll.
