SLOGAN- If the Republicans can't be trusted to protect our children,
Edited on Tue Oct-03-06 11:47 AM by nomad1776
how can they be trusted to protect our Country. Rove's biggest success is coming up with sound bites that repukes repeat ad nauseum. I think we can beat them at their own game if we use that slogan.

IF THE REPUBLICANS CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN, HOW CAN THEY BE TRUSTED TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY?!?!

Use it every chance you get!

1. If the Republicans are willing to protect child molesters
Imagine what else they are protecting.

2. like terrorists?
That's why we need a catchy slogan. If we can repeat it enough, it will totally destroy their advantage with the public misperception that the Repukes are the ones that can keep them safe. It will really hit hard with the Soccer moms, that vote security.

3. Who on our side has this kind of courage?
Great idea, probably no takers in high office. But as a bumper sticker, this would kick big ass!

5. Excellent! I hope somebody here makes a bumper sticker out of it.
It's utter perfection! GREAT thinking! And a KILLER buzzphrase.

6. I'm not convinced by that one.

A fierce dog may be an excellent guard but not trustworthy with children. That slogan feels forced - it doesn't feel syllogistic or reasoned.

I think it would pay better dividends to tie the GOP's willingness to cover up for Foley to their stances on sexual ethics than to terrorism, because that illustrates a genuine hypocricy, rather than just being "Don't vote for the Republicans because they're bad", which, while true, is not an argument.
