'The page' part of this story is a secondary matter |
|
We should simply not be hammering on that aspect of the story. The media will do that just fine, thankyewverymuch.
Our line needs to be: "They can't keep children safe, so how do we expect them to keep the country safe?"
And: "They're more interested in covering things up. They're more interested in politics than policy."
Avoiding the salacious in favor of the larger issues is our best course of action. It gets off the table any of our past scandals (and we are not without our own). We just need to play this with dignity.
As this is being typed, Hasturd is on Limbaugh's shout fest saying he won't resign. This will bring out a chorus of right wingers with big lungs yelling just the opposite.
Usually it is best to do nothing when your opponent is killing himself. But not now. Now we need to be framing this whole thing as a metaphor for the REAL issues we face.

2. Everytime a republican criminal gets in trouble they go on limbaugh's show |
|
hastert needs a total failure to air his dirty laundry to an audience of morons and lemmings with no integrity, no conscience and who care zero about facts or the truth or right and wrong. Great move denny!
Maybe if hastert can't live through this disaster, rush will take him down to the dominican republic with him for some rest and relaxation.
This is just another page in the disaster which is the history of the gop. (Pun intended.)
