This ***IS*** a partisan issue (the coverup) |
|
If the young people who are pages were put at risk by burying an issue and if they were in some way 'violated' (I mean that broadly, not as a technical term) then this whole mess is, in deed and in fact, a partisan issue.
The Republics control the House. The speaker is a Republic. HE is responsible for the program. HE is responsible for any cover-up.
The Dems can do NOTHING about this more than what they did when Nancy Peloisi, in the closing minutes of the Congress, asked for a fast investigation.
THIS IS A PARTISAN ISSUE.

1. If it WASN'T partisan, why didn't Reynolds tell his Dem counterpart? |

(Or is it Shimkus?) The fact he kept it to himself -- and they tried to do "damage control" instead of going through the PROPER channels -- PROVES it's partisan. Instead of dealing with this back in '05, they COVERED IT UP. They can't pin the timing on Dems since we were kept in the dark BY DESIGN.
