An email I received yesterday, for the Progressive Patriots Fund from Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI), Honorary Chair:

In 36 days, voters will go to the polls to decide the direction of this country for the years to come. In those 36 days, we need to do everything we can to give our campaigns the resources they need to get the vote out for Democrats. Through our seven "Pick a Progressive Patriot" events, the Progressive Patriots community has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to dozens of progressive candidates at all levels. Today, I'm asking you to contribute so we will have the resources we need to get out the vote on November 7th - and to keep those votes safe.

Contribute today to help us reach our goal

We want to hold two more rounds of online voting this month. The first will be a chance for you to determine which state parties we contribute our resources to. State parties provide vital field activities to support Democratic campaigns and coordinate get out the vote efforts on election day. I want you to help determine which state parties we should target.

The second round of voting will be for Secretary of State candidates. There's no state office more important to protecting our right to vote, and to guarantee that those votes are counted, than the Secretary of State. These key officials don't often get the attention that they merit, so that's why we've targeted nine candidates for Secretary of State - so we can support their efforts to ensure fair and verifiable elections in the years to come.

But we need your support to be able to fund these two events. We need to raise $30,000 by October 10th, so that we can support these important efforts to get out the vote and to protect the integrity of our elections. Now is the time when you can make a difference: can you contribute $100, $50, or even $25 to help us reach $30,000 by October 10th?
