We can trust Republicans to Stay The Course

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to covering up high-level corruption, no matter how insidious the crimes...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to exporting countless American jobs...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to serving pharmaceutical monopolies, while ignoring the health and well-being of our middle class...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to ignoring the impoverished, storm-tossed victims in New Orleans...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to secret torture camps and no justice for the US citizens still being detained in Cuba, without due process of law....

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to destruction of basic tenants of a Constitution that they have sworn to protect...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to ignoring port security and most of the other recommendations put forth by the (9/11 Commission...

The Republicans will "stay the course" as it leads to gigantic tax breaks for ONLY the wealthiest families of America...

and last but not least, they will "stay the course" in Iraq, even though that course is building volunteers, assets and popularity for Islamic extremists, like Bin Laden. The course to Iraq is paved with lies, torture and death. The course in Iraq is a highway of obscene profits for only the most elite in our society. The course in Iraq is a winding maze for ex-weekend-warriors who were never adequately equipped or trained in urban ware-fare. It is indeed a long course for our troops. Many of our troops are being conscripted well-past original discharge dates, into four and five consecutive tours of duty in a land of invisible enemies. If any of our soldiers happen to make it home from Iraq, they will find their "course" leads to a grossly under-funded VA Hospital, where they will scream out into the darkness, as the nightmares of PTSD haunt their tortured hearts.

Yes, we can trust Republicans to STAY THE COURSE but where does their "course" lead?

5. I'm not at all sure it's fair to compare Republicans to snakes....
It almost seems unfair to the snakes but who am I to throw stones from my fine glass-house?
