Next time I hear Republicans crowing about their moral values, their love of God, family and country, I`ll turn away just as I would if a seedy snakeoil salesman was knocking at my front door.
This feckless crew of enablers can brag about being on the right side of everything, but truth is....they are not.

One thing and one thing only guides this group, strict adherence to the grab for power. Anyone who threatens Republican`s inherent right to rule gets swiftboated, marginalized or torn to shreds. Their mannerly orations on the Senate floor mean nothing. Their calls for bipartisan cooperation on the House floor are mere exercises in verbal deception. Their leadership rules like dictatorial sheepherders, cracking their golden staffs on the ankles of any dissenters. This is what their democracy looks like.

The pile of dead soldiers can stack up higher than the Twin Towers, the national debt can stretch out beyond anyone`s vision, the torture planes can fly the skies as regularly as chartered business flights, jobs can be lost faster than the importation of Chinese screwdrivers and none of it matters as much as staying in power. None of it. Go with the flow....or else.

This treachery, this sullying of everything we stood for, must end and Democrats better comb the landscape for some fresh blood. At this rate, corruption will trump the essence of what once was and apathy will be the tie that binds.
