the juxtapostion of the church scene with the playboy bunnies in lingere language, the "hip" colors, the talking points nailed down...balls, i hate to say it, but that's a good campaign ad.

2. I fail to see how the Dewine ad is all that bad |

It's nothing but a photo of him and Bush - and a kids song. The lyrics are fine - way it was on tapes my kids played ALL THE TIME a decade ago. (the "We sing" tapes and videos) The only text was the % of time he voted with Bush.
The lyrics for those who escaped this music - still remembered a decade later:
"The more we get togther, together, together. The more we get togther, together, together. The happier we'll be. 'cause your friends are my friends and my friends are your friends. The more we get togther, together, together. The happier we'll be."
Now I let my pre-schoolers listen to this and now I find it is considered nasty. Come on - this state had back to back SBVT ads in 2004. (I'm sure Kerry would have preferred a picture of him and Clinton - the closest parallel, and this lovely little song.)
